The Rise of Sivagami (Baahubali) Paperback – March 15, 2017

The author has done a splendid job of bringing all the characters to life in this novel. The way the different sub plots are woven into the story shows real class on the part of the author. A master story teller.

After watching Baahubali 2 I was really impressed on how the characters were portrayed and was so curious to read this book. While reading this book I was all imagining about the characters that were not in the movie and who would be a better fit for those roles :) Couple of chapters in the middle were boring. But by the time it's 60% completed, I was unable to stop reading, curious to know the fate of several characters !!

The book is full of twist and turns and wont let you keep it aside. Exceptional work has been done creating each scene so realistic and put so much emotions in it. Totally loved it...

The Rise of Sivagami is a good read, but fails to be engrossing. The narrative slows down agonizingly in parts and while it is a commendable effort by the author to string the different plots together, it does nothing to peak my interest in knowing more about the sub-plots. At best, I just wanted the story to move on. However, the story does a great job in describing the politics and the motives of the main characters.

Loved to read amazing details about Mahishmati. The book covers a lot of story lines. At times, it felt rushed, and felt like he author wanted to keep it to less number of pages. Nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Eagerly waiting for them t installment.

Mahishmati a great kingdom, shown in the movie. How it came to be? What happened before the point in time where the movie starts? This book may take you on a journey to discovery.

I loved the grandeur and the ending is perfect.There was good build up and the pay off’s are good for some stories. But some stories felt flat without a good pay off.
