Medline Dressing Powder Arglaes Bottle

My 80 year old mother kept tearing her skin on the littlest bumps around the house. I researched how wound care clinics care for more complex wounds and found they use a combination of this silver ion powder to kill germs, and specialized bandage (Adaptic) to keep it dressed.This is the second bottle I'm ordering because it works amazingly well, and you only need a little squirt of the powder. I use Adaptic brand specialized bandages, I purchased these at a nearby medical supply store......, along with the powder. Adaptic has a petroleum coating on one side, and a semipermeable membrane to allow air to circulate. These are very expensive bandages, they don't stick to the wound. You need to use athletic wrap and skin tape to adhere this to the area of concern. I heard you can make your own, using plain Vaseline on a bandage. That seems a little unsterile to me, so I buy the bandages.The combination of the antimicrobial Arglaes Powder and bandage, keeps the wound just moist enough to granulate and heal faster than anything I've ever witnessed.I've used just the powder without a bandage on smaller cuts, it works well, healing super quickly. More quickly than if left alone, and MUCH better than using an antibacterial tube cream.It can sting a little on fresh open wounds, but usually doesn't. It is incredible stuff.

I've used Arglaes powder before for leg ulcers that "weep", and it works fine, just as it should. That being said, I admit that I fell under the "Amazon Spell", and ordered it without doing my usual exhaustive search for online alternate sources. It was a shock to see that the exact same product is available for 35-40% less than I paid. Lesson learned.

I have neuropathy in my feet and legs so I'm prone to ulcers on my feet I use the Arglaes powder in combination with Silvasorb gel to heal anything that begins to turn red. So far it has worked fantastically for me, in that they heal before they ulcer. If I miss one and it begins to ulcer they heal much faster than anything else I've tried. I love it.

This powder is brilliant! First, we cleaned the wound with an antibacterial wash. Next, we puffed on this powder before dressing it. Per the doctor's orders, we kept the dressing dry and only changed it every 24 hours. The wound healed quickly.

The product may be okay, but the seller did not include any instructions or packaging materials, so it was not clear how this product should be used. It is a very small bottle, only got 3 uses out of it and did not see any benefit.

Very expensive. Luckily you need only a tiny bit sprinkled on the wounds. While I haven't opened this one yet I expect it works as well as the other brand I used before.

Very good packaging. Right product.
