The quality is ok. Will it work for a macbook battery swap? Yes, but with unnecessary wear on your driver and your screws. Why? Its too large. I got my batter swapped - but rounded one screw head a good bit in the process. I fear if I ever have to do it again, its going to be a problem. Almost all roundings are caused when driver isn't properly sized to the screws.For this particular job, I recommend a driver which is a tad smaller. This same company who makes this ( "ProsKit" ) offers 3 smaller sized models - the TR0, TR00, and TR000. I can't say for certain, but I would speculate that the TR0 is likely the correct tool for this job. Better yet - just find one specced as "Y1" which is how Apple specced those 2 screws. A Y1 specced driver will assure you get the right size and type ( Y1 is a "tri point" which is slightly different from a "tri wing"). Hope this helps someone.

Works like magic on Macbook Pro batteries, I am very pleased with this product. Considering tri-wing is a fundamentally 'proprietary anti-tinker' bit, its nice to have a tool that excels in the task of not stripping this easily stripped screw head. Handle came in yellow. Seems to be of professional construction for a plastic hand tool. Actual bit head is legit - high carbon steel coating has not warn after a month of use, nor misshapen. Handle is exceptionally ergonomic for a non-spinning butt handle tool. Would buy again, except this one feels like it will never break.

Works perfectly! I used it to take apart a gamecube controller and it worked very well. After looking at reviews of other triwing screwdrivers on Amazon, it seems to me that all of them were designed to be single-use items, that are to be thrown away afterwards, but this one is quite sturdy, and should last for quite some time. In addition, it isn't really mentioned anywhere, but the screwdriver also comes with a magnetic tip which is very useful for removing screws.If you're looking for a triwing screwdriver, save yourself the trouble, and buy this!

When I found out I would need to replace my MacBook Pro's battery, I looked everywhere for the best tri-wing screwdriver. And I do mean EVERYWHERE. I'd read all the reviews of one screwdriver not being the right type and another's head practically coming apart when used, but thankfully that never happened with this one.Granted I've only had to use it once, but this screwdriver worked like any other 'driver: just fine and with no issues. The 'driver itself is nice (as far as screwdrivers go): the handle's comfortable to use. I don't know, I'm no tool expert.If you need a tri-wing 'driver,do yourself a favor and buy this.

The driver I got was different than the picture but it handled the job (a disk drive transplant for my Wii) without incident. While browsing Amazon for tri-wing screw drivers the one complaint I ran into over and over was that they strip so easily. I can't say how sturdy this one is in the long run but it handled my job fine.

Tip is somewhat soft, but as long as you are gentle with it it does the purpose. I only needed it to replace the drive on our Wii. It did it's job satisfactorily.
