This is an acceptable above ground pool ladder assuming you follow the installation instructions and don’t weigh 300 lbs. Wife and I aren’t getting any younger and after building some external stairs for our 48” above ground pool I purchased this pool ladder to attach to the top stair step. I’d recommend this with following cautions:1) it claims 300 lb capacity but there is no way it will last with 300lb users. We are all less than 200 lbs so can’t be sure but I suspect 250 lbs is far more realistic expectation for a dynamic load such as a person using the ladder. The problem wouldn’t be in climbing straight up the ladder with weight centered vertically over the step.2) instructions cover the basic mechanics and I’d say the YouTube instruction video is required viewing but the big gap in all of it is there are some potential gotchas to long term enjoyment not at all covered in the instructions.3) I took a great deal of care to insure that during installation everything is level, aligned and not binding and the anchor point is in very solid wood. I don’t know how important that is and the installation instructions/video make no mention. In fact installation video shows a distinctly sketchy attachment to the deck.4) padding under bottom step also seems like a good idea and I just glued some dense foam from an old foam floor pad to bottom step. It adds some unwanted buoyancy but it’s invisible and works great. Garden kneeling pad, piece of neoprene, maybe some of that 1/2” blue insulation foam from Lowe’s/HD would all work great.5) reviewers seem to be unhappy that it floats but it doesn’t and it does float. Lay it flat in the water it floats. Stand it up and it doesn’t (in my 48” deep pool). Make sure you follow the directions and let it fill with water before screwing it down. At the moment mine is filled with water but I think it would last longer filled with sand or pea gravel. Pea gravel is easier but more risk to the liner than sand. For sure use a pad between footer and liner before screwing it down.6) the slide on mounting system has an inherent weak spot in that the moment arm is huge on the mounting assembly you screw into the deck and if you don’t defeat the ladder buoyancy the supports probably won’t last which is why even though water fill is recommended for my size pool I’m going to fill with sand or gravel. There is some pivot capability in the mounting attachment. I may be making too big a deal on this.I’d buy again though in retrospect considering we’re in our 70s and wobble more than we like I’d take a harder look at a brand that features a taller more rounded hand rail on top. Nothing wrong with this one but taller would likely be better for us.

Built deck for our above ground pool and bought this ladder to go with it. VERY HAPPY with this! Looks so nice and is sturdy, nice landing area and good size steps. Color is beautiful. We did not use the fins for the back side of the ladder since we don’t have any little kids. Assembly was relatively easy, all screws & parts are there. We did put sand in the legs to weight it, as suggested in directions. That part can be a little tricky, so we put the ladder in the water first and one held it up and funneled sand while the other handed small containers of sand up. Worked great! Extremely happy with this!

The ladder is replacing an old deck ladder that was used 16 seasons. I bought this ladder because it is the upgrade of my ladder from same Manufacture. It is made of quality material and made to last. The ladder was on sale and was a great value with free shipping. It arrived within 2 Days from ordering.

We bought this with the adjustable extra step for our pool as it’s not a standard depth. It wasn’t too bad to put together and fits our pool well. We did make a mistake and it was a little high but we used it this year like that and will adjust it next year to the correct height.

I recently purchased this ladder April 2024. I am a person who believes in reviews. I always check the reviews before I ordered anything. I wanted something that did not take up so much space and did not have to be weighted down. This new ladder fits the bill! I am so happy I found it. I love it! It is the best buy! It takes up very little space and seems very well made. It is sturdy . It sits nicely on the floor of our pool without any problems. We just added water to the rails and it holds it down just fine. My granddaughter installed it for me and did not have any trouble putting it together. I would recommend this ladder to Family and Friends. Such a good buy!
