There are excellent vitamins and are a great value. Some people complain that they are having an allergic reaction to these vitamins. They are reacting to the 40mg B3 pure Niacin that is in the product, which causes blood vessel dilation, skin redness, itching and heat in some people; especially if taken on an empty stomach. Take these after a meal, they will work better when digested with food. Synthetic niacinamide is used in place of pure niacin in some vitamins to prevent this reaction, but its synthetic. I'm post cataract surgery (both eyes) and these are noticeably helping my vision and reducing the dryness commonly found post surgery.

I’ve been taking these eye vitamins consistently and I’m really impressed with the results. I spend a lot of time looking at screens, and I’ve noticed less eye strain and fatigue by the end of the day. My eyes feel more comfortable, less dry, and overall more supported. The capsules are easy to swallow and don’t upset my stomach, which is a big plus. I also appreciate the clean ingredients and targeted formula for eye health. Buyer BEWARE!!! I saved a few dollars and THOUGHT I was getting a better product but quickly learned that sometimes more is NOT better. IF you are taking BP meds, think twice before taking this medication. At least one ingredient ( L-Taurine) can lower BP and if you are already on a BP med this can be VERY problematic. I took my first dose as directed a passed out within 20 minutes, wound up in the ER and hospitalized for 3 days. Having had EVERY test in the book CT/MRI/EEG/EKG/Cardiac US/Carotid US which ALL proved negative. If your eye doctor advises AREDS 2, stick to (only) the ingredients listed on AREDS 2 when shopping for a better priced alternative. Just my honest experience.
