The description of this lid says it fits tightly for food storage. I purchased the 2.75G box that corresponds to this lid; however, this lid sits on top of the box and in no way fits even remotely tight. You can remove it with one finger.

High price for a lid that doesn't even snap shut
What's in a lid? Apparently, not the ability to snap shut onto the container below, like most lids do. Not good value for the high price of this simple piece of plastic.

Lid does not fit
I bought the 2.75 gal food storage container and a separate lid at the same time. The lid only sits on top of the container - it does not snap shut. worthless to me.

This lid just lays on the base without any suction !!! Does not snap on to the base !!!
