Cheap but so far Functional
Like the title says, this is a little clunky way to switch optical ports on the fly without unplugging and replugging but it works well and without a separate power source. It feels like reasonable quality plastic but a little cheap considering you’re likely plugging in nice tv/audio equipment into this. Optical/Toslink cables and ports are pretty fragile most of the time and it may be not too bad if you break a cable but breaking a port is a major headache. Instead of changing out your toslink to different devices, it is much better to just get something to switch the signal which is why I got this. What I appreciate about this is that it is super basic and simple to use. Not only that but I bought this one because it wouldn’t fight for space on my already crowded surge protector. There were a few others that looked a bit nicer and were smaller however they were pricier and I just wanted something that didn’t require power if possible.I’m using this to connect an amp to my television and PS4 and I still have one more port I could use for something else. It’s as simple as pressing the button on the lever while turning it to the right source. It’s clunky and I always turn it too much but it works.I do worry about the longevity of this as it doesn’t feel all that sturdy but for the price I thought it was worth seeing if it would hold up.For now it works and it was cheap and so for that I can recommend it. I’ll update my review should it not hold up to the test of time but for now it seems pretty good.

👍Does the job perfectly without having to deal with an electrical connection.
👍Does the job perfectly without having to deal with an electrical connection. We choose this item since it did not add additional clutter by needing any electrical connection.Yes, we have to change the outputs manually with the knob on the device but this was worth the sacrifice in not having to deal with an additional electrical wire. So this item does not offer any remote control switching which we were fully aware of when we purchased it.The sound quality was excellent on all outputs. It does the job perfectly without having to deal with an electrical connection.👍

Does the job
I use this to switch between headphones and soundbar. It does the job and is easy enough to turn the dial. I don't need to plug it into AC or keep track of another remote. The only downside for me is the input and output cables are on opposite sides. I want to put this in an easy-to-reach place, but there's no orientation that prevents fiber optic cables running in every direction. Why not put all four ports on one side?

Fine, but, does NOT work in both directions as the dual-arrow implies.
Product worked fine using the included wired side as an input and the (3) selectable sides as output.Does NOT work in the reverse direction as the double arrow implies.I bought two and neither worked in the reverse direction, so it's unlikely I got a faulty unit. Unfortunately, I needed this product to function as a multi-source input - not multi-source output, so these are now going in a closet to (maybe) be used in the future.5 stars for the product, 0 stars for the ambiguous labeling - averaging to 2.5 stars - rounding up to 3. That's generous.

Desperately needed this
Have in the canal hearing aides and the local internet/ cable provider had terrible connections to switch from tv to cable. This fit the bill

Does what I need but does it worse and worse
After a two-way splitter that somewhat worked as a selector fell apart, I got this. It's bulky but does what I need. And at least I don't need more than two ports because port two didn't work out of the box. It worked fairly consistently for a couple months. Then port one stopped working and port two started working. Now, after less than three months, each port is increasingly intermittent. There's always one or two ports that don't work and in no apparent pattern.I would imagine that another make that looks like a clone of this is made in the same factory and would exhibit identical poor quality.

Old school, dependable, mechanical
You can't beat mechanical gadgets. Unlike electric or computerized gadgets, they focus on one thing and they do it well. With this it's simple... you turn a mechanical knob, and the optical light cable switches to the one you turned it to. So far it's working great. It is plastic, and I'm hopeful that it will hold up over the long run. I switch it between 2 cables about 5 times a week. If it holds up for 5 to 6 good years, then I'll be happy.

Solid non-powered optical selector/switch
Requires no power and that is what I wanted. It's big and won't win many style points, but it does sit flat on a surface without wobbling. Its a little awkward to swtich. The attached cable is thick and stiff, and it cannot be detached and replaced with something else. Wish the back had a hole in the back to hang it vertically. A job for velcro? At first I thought it didn't work, but it turned out that one of my s/pdif cable connectors was insidiously becoming intermittent. Once the faulty cable was replaced the switch works fine.

Cumple...
Lo único malo es el material de que está hecho, se siente frágil. Cumple su función.
