I use this in a Brother MFC-J6535DW printer, scanner, copier - memory card recorder. Home office use is demanding at times and then quiet for a month. This is always ready to go even after a long sit time - weeks. The printer is a long-lasting beast of a machine - great!Beside normal printing, I scan important documents and then put the scans onto the computer. You can rename each scan file to mean something but I also print the first page for a paper index of large collections of paper. There is decent B&W tonal quality from this ink to print these, even images. Price is same as Office Depot. DO NOT SKIMP trying to refill these. Unknown if these is archival quality but the paper would matter too for that purpose.

I like this product because it works as advertised, and is more cost efficient from other printer inks.What didn't work was the automatic communication with Amazon to replace ink that is low - I have bought the other inks I will need next from Amazon ahead of time. I am not sure where the communication broke down, but it could be that sometimes when scanning my printer cannot find my Mac. I think they both have to be connected for the transmission to Amazon to work. It would have been a great way to not worry about running out.

I did not like that this was an off-brand ink. What I do like is that it seems to be just as good quality as the original Brother Brand. I do think that the advertising needs to be more accurate so that people know what they are getting.

Ink lasts longer than any brand, neat output, doesn’t smear. High quality print!

Works in my machine but such a high price. Thinking of switching to ecotank.

I ordered this product on Sept. 8th but hadn't needed to use it until today (Oct. 30th). When I opened the toner envelope, the toner case is defective and can't be inserted into my printer! There is only a 30-day return policy! GRRRRR.. In the past, I have never had any problems. I know this must just be a fluke but $28. is $28. dollars! SOOOOOOOOO, I started a chat with Amazon and they will exchange my defective toner. :) Within 5 minutes I had a return label sent to me!! They were EXTREMELY helpful and NICE!!!

As I wrote in my review of Brother's CMY ink: it's the Ink that I need at a good price. I'm not interested in using compatibles that may not be as good of a quality ink as the OEM. I found with another printer I had the manufacturers toner was the best quality.
