It works

Like many other reviewers I'm using this as a tray in a Pelican cooler. I like the depth of this one because it is the perfect size for those packages of pre-sliced cheese, meat etc. It is also deep enough to fit some condiment bottles and fits items packed in gallon ziplock bags or you can stack quite few sandwiches in there without worry of them getting crushed.When used as a tray it keeps everything up top and out of the water giving you easy sammich access and allowing your beverages to stay frosty cold! Its not quite as heavy duty as some of the other pans I've handled over the years (and I considered knocking off a star because of this) but it is more than adequate for my use as a cooler tray and I doubt it will ever need to be replaced so I left it at 5. It is also listed as standard weight.The fit is perfect in my Pelican 45 and it is indeed 1/3 size (you could fit 3 in the 45 qt). Another reviewer mentioned using a shallower 1/2 pan in the 45 cooler, which I'm sure works fine but as I mentioned I like the size of this for ziplocks and pre sliced cold cuts.

Good standard kitchen pan

I’m a professional executive chef. This product is every bit as good as the higher dollar ones I use in my kitchen at work.

Product is light duty. About 1/3 lighter than my old restaurant quality ones (PolarWare). (17.6 oz vs 26.6 oz). That's ok for my intended non-food service application, but this would not survive a week at a fast-food joint. I dropped one of the three I purchased and it immediately put a silver-dollar sized dent in the bottom. I will probably buy another brand of heavier duty ones, even at a higher price.

These fit inside of my 95 qt Pelican cooler perfectly. As others stated it's as if these were made for the Pelican coolers. The metal actually stays extremely cold without even touching the ice. They do a great job keeping food and things from getting soggy. The size isn't extremely large, but they are metal so you get what you pay for. If you're doing a big outing you might want to get two of these so you have enough space to have everything needed for sandwiches etc. I'm not sure how they do with heat as I have not tried them for that purpose but for keeping things cool in my cooler they do a fantastic job!

The lip of the pan was bent, no damage to the box

Purchased (with coordinating lid) to use as a countertop compost bin. It is perfect! Most countertop compost containers have a relatively small opening which make filling and especially emptying a pain. This has a BIG opening and the coordinating lid (purchased separately) forms a fairly tight seal so I don't smell anything, even if I forget to empty it for a few days. I used to use compostable bags in my other compost bin, but these were very expensive and always got stuck in the mouth of the container when emptying. With this stainless steel pan, I have done away with those expensive bags. I simply dump this pan into my outdoor compost, and then give it a quick rinse!
