I brought this for my mum she has said its brilliant she can open a bottle of bleach which is the first time in over a year also small jars like the mint sauce she can now also open she has really bad arthritis for over 15 years and has struggled with opening things for some time. So far the tool has done the job

Yes folks. I've reached That Age. Packets are hard to open, bottles impossible. This little beauty made v shirt work of an IMPOSSIBLE sauce bottle. Oh my word. This will make s difference. Tried the mat thing, scrunched over the bottle... Not helpful.... But I'm using it as a heatproof mug mat instead. The bottle I first tried was a small topped one. Easy peasy. Then I tried a large topped one. Lemon squeezy.... Which the larger gadget can do. By the way ... Squeeze lemons. FULL MARKS ALL ROUND!!! I feel like cooking again.

Of the four items I found the square silicone square cloth the most useful as you can use it to grip things But then again a rubber glove would do the same thing. The next useful was the big lid gripper device which proved useful on the larger stubborn jars , pickled beetroot jars for example. However it still required a test of strength to squeeze the callipers tight , grip the glass jar with the aforementioned silicone square and twist in opposite directions. Very often you would have to go back to the tried and tested method - prime the jar by running it under the hot tap and try again. The remaining two items haven’t seen daylight since I put them in the draw and only seem to have been supplied to make up the numbers.

Use these every week for opening milk bottles, cans, tonic water, anything that resists my feeble grip. The little opener is esp useful to me.

I haven’t used it yet but it looks like exactly what I need due to arthritis in my hands.
