I've ordered a few products from this company. I am new to herbs; however, the packaging is good and product seems good.I just started taking this today (12/20). I mixed the appropriate amount with my coffee. Did not taste it at all! I will update in about six months, once I can gauge whether or not this is working for me.Ready for an update?? I started taking this on Dec. 20. It is now two months later. And note, I didn't take it for three weeks bc I had a surgery. I am very impressed. I'll update after summer. But here is a photo taken a short while ago (before fo-ti). The two current pics are from 02/26...two months later.

1st time purchasing and had used about 5 times and the ziplock seal came unglued. Now, the bag can't be sealed. Not happy about it.

I really like the way this herb tastes. Fo-ti (or He Shou Wu) and Rehmannia are my two favorite tasting herbs and they both have similar functions, but this review will be about Fo-Ti.The taste is because the raw root is processed by cooking it in a broth of black soybeans. Someone discovered that this activates some of the beneficial qualities of the plant. This herb is essentially an adrenal tonic. It will support the kidneys, adrenal glands and libido. It is used by martial artists to help strengthen joints and build the bones. It is said to prevent or reverse hair greying and hair fall in men, but to notice any affect you would probably have to make serious dietary changes like cutting out alcohol, caffeine and high Omega-6 fat foods among other things.He shou wu has a cooling energy and is a good general rejuvenative herb for pitta or fire type constitutions. Find out your Ayurvedic constitution, it can be helpful!It is very unctious, thick and heavy, so if you have sluggish digestion or experience extra mucous when using this, you might have to use it only short term OR address some of the other things in you life that cause you mucus such as dairy, excessive wheat comsumption, meat, sugar, etc.I experienced the quality of this particular brand to be excellent.

Maybe I haven’t taken the product enough to know if it’s effective? The flavor and smell is a bit off but I mainly feel that it’s too pricey for a small bag. Wouldn’t order again.

I do feel the Fo ti helps my energy and clarity. I take a teeny bit (1/16th of a teaspoon) in a a mix of other herbs in the morning. I rotate herbs, so I have to change them up. There seems to be an easier time with stress while I'm taking this. I take it for the kidney supporting aspect. I didn't know about the nerve calming aspect of it.I forgot about the hair color restoring part of it's effects. There was about a quarter of my hair that had turned bright white over the last several years. Now I'm taking this fo -ti, as the hair has grown out, I notice it is coming in salt and pepper colored. That's cool. I took that as a sign that it's doing the unseen health benefits as well.I gave one less star for flavor, but that's not a problem because mixed in with other things it adds only a slight bitterness. Overall, I don't notice after a while.

After another person posted a Certificates of Analysis of MicroIngredient’s “100% Organic Sunflower Lecithin” showing that the product contains high amounts of maltodextrin and coconut oil, I decided that I better get COAs for all of the products from this company that I personally use. I requested the COAs for this item, and 4 other items.My first request received no response. My second request received a reply stating that I must provide all of my order numbers for the products in addition to all of the batch numbers. I stated that I did not want to waste my time looking up all of my order numbers, and that that information is/was completely unnecessary. I was told that they would not provide any COAs without order numbers. This was a big flag. So, I went along with their game, and I supplied all order numbers and all batch numbers. Again I received no response. I then followed up yet again, and was told that it is their “policy” to only provide 1 COA at a time. After 2 weeks of going back and forth via email, and being ignored and/or getting excuses, I was then provided a screenshot, of the top few lines of a report for 1 of the 5 items. I sent yet another email requesting the full reports for all 5 items. My request was again ignored.This company is hiding something. I don’t know what, but I would trust them. Personally, I will not order anything else from MicroIngredients, and if you care about your health and what you put inside your body, I suggest that you purchase from a company that does lie and/or not hide the truth about what they are selling to you.
