Safe working practice.
A clever little item that's perfect for checking the temperature of oil without burning your hands. I wish I had bought it sooner. A good addition to the kitchen.

A useful piece of kit but an awful manual
This works well if you need to verify a temperature instantly (for example, if you're making gelato, which involves egg yolks) but the manual is close to useless, hence my low score. The typeface is very small and there's at least one diagram showing 4 buttons but 5 callouts. Also, as far as I can make out, it's impossible to manually switch off the unit; you have to wait for it to switch itself off - a waste of power.

The item was very cheap but perhaps you get what you paid for.
This item appeared to be exactly what I wanted but unfortunately the temperature readout has a randomness in excess of 5 degrees centigrade. This made it useless for what I needed.
