ProGivity Dookie Hookie Dog Poop Hands Free Bag Holder, Strong Stainless Steel, No Warping/Breaking/Bending

I love this simple little tool. I put a Nite Ize carabiner on it so I could easily and quickly snap it on and off my belt hoop. At least twice a day when I walk the dogs I take the Dookie Hookie with me so I can enjoy a hands free walk with the dogs. Such a simple little lightweight and very well made multipurpose device and an unusual novel use for dog feces! Simply pull out your bag, put your hand inside the bag, pick up your dogs feces, turn the bag inside out, twist excess bag tightly and knot it up. Then, just hang the bag along the long slot with the load on one side and the knot on the other. It holds very well. I have two Jack Russell's and have managed to hang three bags on a long walk and could've hun four, so it'll easily hold large loads. The key is to twist the bag tightly so it easily slides into the slot. If you hang the dookie hookie on your side you may find it best to have the feces forward and the loose opening of the bag facing the rear. It seems to not catch your swinging arm that way as much, and it's not that the bag will come off but rather the sound of your arm rubbing against the loose end of the bag. It drives me nuts. I sometimes tuck the end into one of the holes to keep it out of the way, especially when it's breezy. If you hang the cookie cookie in front of you, depending on the size of the poop it bangs along your belly a bit with each step, which could also be annoying for some. Overall, I really enjoy the dookie hookie and had been wanting something like it for a long time. For it's minor faults (which are not design flaws but rather due to our bipedal nature) the fact that I do not have to carry the used doggie bags the entire length of our walks is worth he little irritants. My hands are once again free which is more comfortable, provides for better personal security and just plain feels nice.

It catches on things, and I think it’s a bit much as far as the tools it contains. I don’t need a can opener on a dog walk.

After years of hand carrying the poop bags of our numerous Rottweilers, finding this Progivity holder is a much welcome and sanitory change.My wife especially likes this when walking her Goldendoodle. Holding a poop bag during her 30 minute walks was not appealing to her.We like that it's made of stainless steel (not plastic). It has robust thickness and will out last a couple of leashes. Connected a mini carabineer to ease transfers. There are three holes and its to carry more unused bags by slipping them through, although we don't use them. Instead, attached a pouch bag holder to the wife's leash which holds at least two full rolls. Am planning to do the same but for now am using one of those plastic tube bag holders but they tend to crack over time.It's design is to pinch and hold the knot from the poop bag. Seamless in function although it could catch your pants or jacket pockets depending on how you hold the leash. Hasn't happened to us, yet.

I walk both my dogs at the same time and am currently training one of my pups to be less reactive on walks so carrying treats, a clicker, controlling them both on their leash + not dropping used doggie bags was a lot to handle. This item makes it simple to have the used bags hang from the leash out of the way without having to think about them anymore. Easy and simple product. A+.

I liked the idea of this and have no complaints about the performance of the product, but the design is potentially dangerous. The open end easily hooks onto anything, including my dog's eyelid. Luckily, I think he will be fine, but you have to be very careful with it. The company was very considerate and helpful, though, and responded quickly.

UPDATE: the key ring on this is not strong enough in my opinion. After several wonderful weeks, it must have gotten caught on something and torn off. I never managed to find it. I recently bought a new one, and placed my own rings on it.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Arrived just in time for me to juggle my special needs dog in one arm, a flash light and baby monitor, my leashed big dog and a hand to open and close doors for potty breaks. With no hands left and no desire to smush poop bags against my baby monitor, this was an awsome gadget.

Didn’t realize some thing seemingl so trivial such as not carrying bags would make my walks so much more pleasant. Are use this for two dogs that generally go twice on each walk and have never had a problem fitting all the bags
