Tiffen 67UVP 67mm UV Protection Filter: A Great Choice for Lens Protection
I've been using the Tiffen 67UVP 67mm UV Protection Filter for a few months now, and I'm really impressed with it. Here's why I think it's a great choice for anyone looking for a lens protector:Protection First and ForemostThe primary function of a UV filter is to shield your valuable camera lens from scratches, dust, and fingerprints. The Tiffen 67UVP does this admirably. It's well-built with a scratch-resistant surface and a tight-fitting metal ring that minimizes the chance of the filter falling off accidentally.Double Duty: UV Protection and Clear ImagesWhile the UV protection is a bonus, the filter doesn't affect the image quality in any noticeable way. There's no color cast or softening, and it doesn't introduce any vignetting (dark corners) even on wide-angle lenses. This makes it a great option for keeping on your lens at all times for peace of mind.Affordable ProtectionTiffen UV filters are known for being well-priced, and the 67UVP is no exception. For around $10 to $20, you're getting a high-quality filter from a reputable brand that will last for years.Overall, I highly recommend the Tiffen 67UVP 67mm UV Protection Filter. It's an affordable way to safeguard your investment and keep your lens looking its best. Here are some additional points to consider:Some photographers argue that UV filters can very slightly reduce image quality. In my experience, this is negligible and far outweighed by the protection benefits. If you're mostly shooting indoors or in good lighting conditions, a UV filter may not be necessary. However, it's still a good idea to have one on hand for situations where dust or scratches are a concern.

These are essential to street photographers
This filter comes at a fair price and is an essential item for photographers who travel. UV filters don't affect your photos, but protect your expensive lenses and camera sensors from damage when shooting outdoors. It's much easier to replace an $8 filter than a $300 lens. This filter works with the lens cap that came with the lens, but double check the diameter of your lens, as one size does not fit all. I already have a bunch of filters, but my newest lens requires a slightly smaller filter, which is why I purchased this item.

Colors stay natural
The filter does its job really well. It protects the lens without noticeably affecting image quality: colors stay natural, sharpness is maintained, and there are no extra reflections. It’s easy to screw on and gives peace of mind knowing the lens glass is protected. The only small downside is that the ring feels a bit thin and can be slightly tricky to remove at times, but it’s nothing major. For the price, it’s a solid and reliable purchase.

Over a decade of use without a lens cap and no damage
I have bought a few of the Tiffen filters now over the years to protect my lenses from getting scratched, and they have been great. I don't even put lens caps on now because I lose them and they get in the way, so these are essential to protect the lens. They fit perfectly and stay put. I have had this one for over a decade and it is in perfect condition - no scratches or damage at all. If you want to keep your glass in good condition, I highly recommend investing in some lens filters.
