Moonshuttle Standard Frame Mount(Wide Side Open) for Gopro 3 3+ + Tripod Mount + Lens Cap Bundle

The Moonshuttle Standard Frame Mount frame mount fit my GoPro Hero4 perfectly.While this is very similar to the GoPro branded mount, it has pretty much the same features. Since this mount fits all the branded GoPro accessories, it works just he same. This allows your GoPro to be accessible without the waterproof housing, and allows access to all the ports and the memory card, and allows sound to be heard on your videos since the camera mic is not within it's housing.The camera lens is also not behind the waterproof housing as well, so you may not get as much ambient glare as you sometimes would from within the waterproof housing.The only con is while the plastic bends so you can insert your GoPro camera, it feels it could be broken if you're not careful when storing the frame mount. Otherwise, this pretty much does the job as its more expensive counterparts. Just remember, the frame is not waterproof or weatherproof!

Expected this to be much cheaper quality than it is. It is actually very good quality and it fits perfectly. All the openings are in perfect alignment with the corresponding buttons, etc., on the camera.The only thing that I am puzzled about is why the side opening, which allows access to the USB port and the memory card, is not a bit larger to allow access to the HDMI port. I don't know what the manufacturer was thinking here. Personally, it's no big deal to me, but if you think this might bother you, you could easily take a Dremel tool and enlarge the opening to your liking.

Great price, and functionality. I need a "naked" frame to record performance driving class. As others have said, the tripod mount is junk. I tightened it down super tight and it wouldn't hold it in place. That went into the trash since I have others and I didn't need it. The lens cap was a nice bonus that I didn't think I need but really like having now. The frame held the camera tight despite the amount of movement on a race track. All the buttons, battery cover, and MicroSD card slot were accessible while mounted which is a nice change of pace from the GoPro enclosure. Worth much more than $13, but really love not having to spend more.

The fit on the 3+ is perfect. I exchanged for the original Go Pro Frame (now that the price has thankfully been reduced from $40, which was way too expensive for a cheap molded piece of plastic). This comes with the tripod mount (already had one), lens cover and long thumb screw. For comparison, the original is a few dollars more expensive now and comes with both regular and backpak-complatible frames, quick release buckle, thumb screw, lens cover and one each of the flat and curved adhesive mounts.The one nice feature here is the extra large opening for access to both the usb port and SD card slot. This one is fine, but I went for the original with a few extras that made the difference in my opinion.

I bang this case around like crazy and it's held up perfectly. You can bend it quite far to get the gopro inside. It's a bit of a pain to get the gopro inside of a frame (any frame) so be aware of this before you get it.I would say, that this case's holder portion where the screw goes through, is slightly thin. I need to really crank the screw to keep the gopro locked in place. Like grab a rad and spin the thumbscrew hard style. I use the Smatree Thumbscrews as well, and they tend to work better with full sized gopro cases.

In fairness I have nothing to compare this to but it works great. I was too gentle to it in the beginning and that made it hard to get on and off but now I know that it won't break I just stretch out and it pops right on and off. I really like the larger access to the micro SD card area. I recommend it to others considering on purchasing this.UPDATE July 5, 2015 about a year after purchase. My Moonshuttle Standard Frame Mount broke at the corner while taking the camera out of the frame. A piece of it (in the same corner) broke about 4 months ago.

If you want a frame mount and don't want to pay the typically over inflated prices for "name brand," this is a great choice. It's flexible when putting on and taking off the Hero 3+ and sturdy when buckled down to a mount. It has a more useful opening that does allow you to plug the mini usb in and remove the micro SD. The only thing that I'd change is have an integrated tether point/loop for security of so you don't lose the lens cover that's included.Speaking of included, the tripod mount is great and sturdy. Haven't had any issues with it at all.

Shipping was very fast. This is a perfect frame. It alows me to plug in my GoPro Hero 3 to a power supply because of the large openings. I also use it on my Phantom because it's so lightweight for shooting stills and it boost my flight time. And the bonus lens cap. Better than the GoPro Frame.

Works reasonably well overall except getting your gopro in and out requires twisting the plastic. Over the course of about 10 uses it began to wear down the plastic and eventually cracked it.

I like that it holds my Gopro 3 solidly but when using this frame with my gopole I cannot get the clamp to tighten enough to hold the camera steady without adding washers.....cheap is not always good.

Nice mount...will see if it holds up to inserting and removing the camera. So far so good!

It fits well on my Go Pro 3. Price is very inexpensive. The tripod mount is awesome plus it's 11cad$ in a Camera Store that I checked here in Calgary. The lens cup really protects the lens. I recommend this item. Plus the shipping was fast.

Nothing exciting, but a nice open case with easy access for plugging in an external microphone. :)
