I have always used traditional shaving foam. Then I took a chance on buying into the Dollar Shave Club, bought their started kit directly from their website that came with a small, one-ounce tube of their Shave Butter. Shave butter, what the heck is that . . . right? Well, the darn things works and it's great! Smooth shave, no big mess all over the place. When I was running out, shopped online for more, and it is $8.00 for their large, 6oz tube at their web site and about $7.00 on Amazon. THEN by happenstance I found an amazing sale on Amazon for a two-pack of the 6oz-ers for $5.00!!!!!!! Jumped on it, bought a bunch to have on hand and you should have, too.Either way, this is a great product, gives a really nice shave. I have sensitive skin and seems to do a nice job of preventing razor burn and nicking. Highly recommended!

I’m not usually a 5-star guy. I never thought I’d find a shave gel that I’d like better than King Of Shaves. Decided to buy this when I saw its ad when buying some DSC blades. Wow, very slick, even after a couple of draws of the razor across the same area of the face. Translucent/nearly transparent, so I can avoid chopping off my sideburns too short, etc. Even in our hard water, this stuff rinses clean. No skin tightness after drying off, face is supple and soft as a baby’s butt, but smells better. The fragrance is light and doesn’t linger. Good job, DSC.

Quality of the product is fine, but I'm not a fan of the texture. I guess it is the "butter" designation. It has a bit of a waxy consistency and tends to go on in blobs that need further spreading and massaging. It also clogs the razor and doesn't rinse out easily, even with super hot water, so I wind up flinging hairy blobs of butter all over the sink during the shave. So, more of a clean up chore than I've had with other products. I have many, many years experience using a shaving "cream" from a tube that I was super happy with, but the manufacturer stopped making it. Guess I'll try another "cream" product and hope for a better fit with my shaving wish list!

I have sensitive skin and this product works great. It does feel like butter on my skin and allows for a very smooth shave.

I've tried every sort of shaving cream (gel, etc.), and I keep coming back to this. It doesn't gunk up a razor, and it preps the face super fast. It's like lotion. It doesn't take much (a dime size squirt) to get the job done. One container lasts me a few months. I remember the good ol' days when Dollar Shave Club made good, affordable razors and a few other quality products. Those days are long gone. Thankfully, this classic remains the same.

Love this stuff! I am follicly challenges so I use it a lot on my head and beard. Works great except make sure you rinse your razor often.

Guys my gosh this stuff is amazing!I was using Gillette or edge which is good but was hearing about "Shave Butter"After trying it, wow! Makes your face smooth and a closer shave.
