Just got a new TV in the bedroom which lacks the ability to have headphones plugged in AND still have the TV speakers when you need them, without needing to unplug the headphones. (Old TV did that) My first solution was adding a soundbar which on the optical digital out, works independently of the headphones, so that worked, but the digital sound was all over the place volume-wise between TV input sources as well as favoring loud music and effects with impossible to hear dialogue.Through the TV's headphone jack out, the sound was perfect. So now with this well-made splitter I can split the output and always have sound going to the headphones, and mute the soundbar (it came with a remote) when using those headphones. Works perfectly. No difference in sound quality either and a fantastic price.I'm always the guy who has a unique purpose for an item like this. I realize it's most popular as a way of sharing an audio source between two people and I would imagine with the sound quality it will deliver in that regard too.

Needed something to split the soundbar and computer speakers to plug into the same monitor. Works good.

Got this so I could use an MP3 player with one speaker and one set of headphones rather than plugging and unplugging them. This fits both as expected and does indeed split the sound into both. HOWEVER, the sound quality disappeared. Or rather, I lost a large portion of the lower registers so that the sound is now treble-heavy. It's "okay," in that regard, but far from ideal and what I wanted. Still, overall, this works and would be fine for something like a portable DVD player or maybe even gaming, but for actual music listening, less than ideal.

None of them work. Only one side of the headphones will play when I use these cables. I ordered 12 of them and they are all like that

5 stars, this splitter does exactly what it is supposed to do. Nothing fancy just splits the audio output from my motherboard rear panel to a wired headphone and to my powered speakers and sub woofer system. Not glitchy audio or easily pulled cords, the ports lock the audio plugs in tight.I would certainly buy this companies audio products in the future. Great price and great (albeit generic) quality product!
