4223-55ML Urethane Conformal Coating, 55 ml Bottle

Worked great to seal up a Norcold refrigerator board after I dried it out using a hair dryer. (Moisture gathers inside the sensing/sparking module, which causes the board not to sense a flame) I applied 3 coats with the included brush, which provided a 0.020" or thicker coating. The coating seems easy enough to remove (if required), I could scratch it off with some effort with my fingernail, but it would stay put under all imaginable conditions. I sealed all around my fuses as well, so it would need to be peeled off somewhat to replace the fuse (probably never). I saved 120 bucks on my fridge board, minus the cost of the coating and the hour to apply it, so I am a happy camper (literally). There is a strong solvent odor with this product. I opened the garage up, and blew a fan over my work area to keep from choking on the fumes. The UV dye is a cool addition, under a black light the coating turns an iridescent blue, which easily shows where any gaps are (I had none with 3 coats).

Happy to see MG has a new -and better cap to the bottle. Application (and mine is very different from the conventional use...was very easy. The material cured as needed..

When replacing cord plugs or receptacles, after screw securing of wires, I coat screws and work conformal coating in and around the end of wires. For extension cords used in occasional (outdoor) high moisture environment, corrosion of connection is reduced or eliminated. It also makes a more mechanically secure connection. I make sure some of sealant is goes under and around the end of the wire insulation to prevent moisture migration between wire strands back to the wire clamp connection. I usually place some under the exterior retaining clamp of plug/receptacle to help keep wire from sliding back through the clamp and putting all the connection stress on the internal connection.

In the past I used my previous bottle of this same product to protect some 1/8th brick power supplies successfully. I bought a new bottle. It's browner in color than the old bottle. I coated another 1/8th brick power supply of the same manufacturer and part number using from the new bottle. Its dead. It was assembled and had done a week long burn in before coating. After coating it was dead.

Easy to apply. Seems like a nice, durable finish when dry. Looks like great protection from the elements for my circuit board. I have a pool heater that is subject to a lot of moisture on a particular circuit board inside. Coated with this, it should last a lot longer!

Used this to protect a flight controller and associated sensor circuit boards from moisture. Did fly under slight drizzle, even though the drone was wet enough to be dried off, the electronic circuit boards worked fine. Also please note I had the drone cables properly protected with heat tubes etc. Also used on an appliance circuit, which was prone to moisture damage. Long term use test need to be seen.

This coating works great. I recently used it to immobilize some wires between poles on a motorcycle stator. The OEM wiring was insulated but not conformal coated. I used this coating on the wires spanning the poles to stabilize them against vibration. This coating is very low viscosity to allow it to flow easily. Use it lightly in coats with 10-15 minutes between coats. Excellent results.

Exactly what I needed to repair the damaged clear-coat on the alloy wheels on my car after my kid scraped a curb trying to park in a hurry. A lot more resistant to weather, sunlight, and wear than using clear paint to repair the damaged clear-coating on alloy wheels

Nice and smelly, use in a well ventilated area! I should think that it will do a good job. Only used it to coat one circuit board so far but applies easily and dried quicker than i expected. Havent used the circuit outside yet but i have confidence that it will do as it should

Very please with the produit. I was able to isolate motor coil wire that was scratch. Motor is on 120vac.

Nice big bottle. I only needed a small amount, but it worked great and protected my circuits from water splashes while I finished my testing.

I used this product to coat a couple of boards where the coating heated up and flaked off...it worked great. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that the picture used in the post shows a permanent brush attached to the cap for ease of use...and the bottle I received came with two separate brushes placed inside the packaging which have to be cleaned each time and could easily be misplaced which is not convenient for this type of product.

It’s exactly as described. Kinda harder to spread than I’d anticipated, but great nonetheless
