I Love This Rev-a-Shelf!!!
I have to say that I absolutely love this pull out trash can! Installation was a pain because our cabinet was a half inch short of us being able to use one size up so we had to get the 12" wide set up for our 14 1/2" outside opening. A lot of shimming had to be done and with the installation instructions not the best, it took quite a bit of time to install. Having said all that, it was worth it! It is very sturdy/strong, rails are heavy duty and I love the second tray for extra bags. They don't fit perfectly but I took them out of the box and it works fine. This is so much nicer than going under the sink for the trash can, especially with an undermount sink. You will not be sorry - the quality is excellent. The third photo is of the inside of the cabinet after installation.

Challenging Installation; Happy Ending
I haven't even used this for 24 hours yet, but I'm pretty sure this is exactly what I want. What I didn't count on (even though the reviews warned) was the nightmarish installation! As many have said, the instructions are just about useless! I watched the video a few times, referred to Rachel Lucas' instructions (see reviews), and then added my own techniques and ingenuity. My space is in a corner cabinet and the access was really tight which made it all the more difficult. What I did learn is that level and plumb are vital to this working correctly. My first attempt resulted in the self-close function not working so I had to take out the screws and make adjustments. It was then that I took advantage of the long oval shaped vertical holes and the built-in horizontal play on the back bracket. The usefulness of these features is not mentioned anywhere, but getting "close to correct" placement of fairly tight screws into the vertical ovals allowed me to make increments of adjustments until I had the slides level in every single direction and to each other. Once I had that, I drilled for screw placement in a couple of the small circular holes and got everything secured in place. The REALLY IMPORTANT thing I learned from Rachel Lucas was to disregard the ridiculously verbose directions for the door mount and to just use the provided two-sided tape and my eyes to get the door mounted. After the horror of mounting the slides, I was dreading mounting the door, but in the end, it took me about 10 minutes and was perfect on the first try. As an additional tip to what Rachel provides, I did tape a small level to the top of the door to help me with eye-balling the alignment of the door before I pushed it against the tape. So, I think the device gets 5 stars, but Rev-A-Shelf gets a big fat ZERO for its inability to provide simple, understandable, and effective step-by-step instructions.

Best on the market! Durable and smooth operation.
I’ve been using this for years in my kitchen. Was easy to install! And works like the day I bought it despite being opened dozens of times a day! It’s super smooth and the soft close is perfect. Couldn’t recommend it enough. I now use these on my clients jobs anytime I need one.

Glides beautifully, excellent quality! Lids purchased separately.
After researching several different trash can pull-out options, I purchased this one. And I'm so glad I did. We bought the 15" wide, 35 QT. My husband and I installed ourselves and were able to complete it in about 1.5 hours - the instructions were pretty straightforward. Make sure you have all the right tools needed before installing! It will save you a lot of time in the long run. We've had it installed for about 4 months now and it's held up wonderfully. Super sturdy and amazing quality for the price. Just wish it came with the lids. The lids are sold separately and honestly pretty pricey for what it is. It was $40 for two.

A terrific upgrade
We wanted one of these for years in our home. Before this we just had a free-standing garbage can that we pulled out by hand to throw things out. There was a lot of wasted space in the cabinet. Now we fit both our regular garbage and recycling in the same cabinet, accessible with a smooth pull of the handle. The bonus shelf on the side is where we store our replacement bags and leftover grocery store bags fore miscellaneous purposes. Installation was a multi-step process. I had to select a product that the walls that our old cabinet could support (the floor is just cheap fiberboard). Also, it's a trick to get your measurements just right between the back and the front screw points. The slide work well, although because I didn't get it 100% aligned, when I pull out the cabinet for maximum extension, it gets a bit tight. All told we're very happy with the product! (I would also add, we managed to fit this into a cabinet smaller than the size that the Rev-A-Shelf website rates it for. I figured that out by measuring the height of the garbage cans themselves and discovered it would work.)

Smaller than expected but not bad. The installation is not so easy but since mine was done as part of a kitchen remodel, I didn’t have to face any issue. The product is sturdy and good.

Sturdy product, quality materials used. Just be sure of your measurements. It can be difficult to pull out the back bin, depending on your space.

Overall, I am pleased with my Rev-A-Shelf Double Pull Out Top Mount Trash Can 50 Qt, Grey, 4WCTM-2150BBSCDM-2 :) My dimensions (W x D x H) for a proper fit are 18 1/8" (W) and at least x 22 3/4" (D) x 22" (H). My cabinet openings were 21" wide, so, I first put two 2x4s on the side where the brackets go, but the final 18" was a snug fit, the 18 1/8" (W) opening was a better fit. So I swapped a 2x4 for a board and 1/2" plywood gave me the exact width I needed. The length is 22 5/8", the overall length with the bracket butting up to the back of the cabinet is 22 3/4" (L). Also, the installation video recommends installing the slides for the 50 quart containers at 21 1/2" H (centered). I felt that was a bit too high as I had 4 1/2+ clearance at the bottom. I didn't change it because it gave room to store the garbage box beneath the bins out of sight. The back container did not clear our butcher block counter top but I just released the catches on the slide a bit more. The total height once assembled with the bins is 22" I removed the door mounting hardware as I had swinging doors, because the brackets did not allow the doors to fully close.
