Q: will this work with the 3DS XL?

I just received 5 replacement batteries for normal 3DS and was about to try them in a 3DS XL but the battery slot for the XL is 25% larger than the normal 3DS battery. So the answer is no.

Q: What kind of screw driver is that?

A tiny Phillips screwdriver that fits the tiny screws on the case. Almost the size of the eyeglass screwdrivers. It's about 2 inches long. Anything else would be too big.

Q: About how many hours does this battery last?

It lasts months..of course you have to charge the 3ds once the battery runs low..but it's a good battery..

Q: I have the original 3ds, its battery does not last long before I have to recharge it. How long does this one last?

I got one of these rechargeable batteries for an original 3ds but to my dismay, the new battery was probably just a little better than the original battery. The old one would let the 3ds die without warning, and the new one at least let the light turn red as a warning. It was a good investment, since the old battery was probably going to be rendered useless pretty soon. This battery pack might give you close to three hours worth of gameplay I'd say.
