Avieta Belgian Pearl Sugar Waffles, 12 Individually Packed 3.17 Ounce

Omgoodness, I am so glad I thought to look on Amazon for these!! I had a sneaking suspicion that my FAVORITE waffles from the little diner in town were not made on the waffle maker in the back. I was so upset that I couldn't eat the 2 waffles that were served (with bacon and 2 eggs any style). I hated leaving that one waffle behind! Now I can make just one and they taste exactly the same. I love the pearl sugar crunch in there. I pop one waffle in the toaster and its ready in minutes. I said I need to get them on auto delivery and my husband laughed. LOL

Will leave price alone for now as almost everything costs more than I think it should. These waffles are very sweet eaten out of the bag but I found that got tempered down a tad when popping them in the toaster. I found them delicious & will undoubtedly get them again as I'm not finding any competition here in the nothern mid-west.

If I could get a discount, I'd buy these in bulk from the manufacturer.I first found out about "Belgian Pearl Sugar Waffles" from a buffet table at a conference. They were the first item to disappear every morning. They're amazingly good on their own, and are perfect for using with a spread.

These waffles are just too sweet for me. Texture is so thick and not smooth. I was looking for a little crunch in it. It is a little bit pricey.

These are very good but expensive.

I would love to give this product more than 5 stars. If anyone has ever tasted the real Leige Belgium waffle, you will know that this product has the same taste. I recently attended the EU Embassy Tour in DC and visited the Netherlands Embassy who hosted with Belgium where the Leige waffles were being made in real-time. I left there craving more waffles and was so happy to find this product on Amazon. What excites me more is that this product takes just like what I received that was baked onsite. No syrup, no butter, nothing else is needed to put on the waffles other than to pick it up and put is in your mouth. Thank you for a delicious product that I can enjoy until next year's Embassy visit.

I got the idea for use from a vendor at our local Farmer's Market. He sold a similar waffle out of a freezer with ice cream between two waffles. These are big waffles so after prep and in the freezer for a day or two with the ice cream filling, we slice them then for a lovely dessert and enjoy on multiple occasions.

Lacking sugar. Not enough pearled sugar at all. They need to add about 150% more sugar to these. When eating, it's mostly like cardboard and every few bites you get a tiny crunch from a tiny piece of sugar. Not worth it. Won't be buying again. I think they refroze this and thawed it too many times.
