A Beautiful and Joyful Kindlebook With A Few Caveats
This kindlebook that is the Life-Changing Manga of Tidying Up: A Magical Story by Marie Kondo is a creative and fun read. Basically the author creates a cartoon-like yet also entertaining read about how a woman’s life changes once she takes the steps to organize her living area. There is even well meaning info given to the woman cleaning up as to how she accumulated some of her items yet I must speak up with the intent of courage on a few caveats; Yes I agree with the author, even as a happily married woman to a sweet/heavenly husband that care must be exercised when choosing career goals andor hobbies for a man. However, I am fortunate to have been alive long enough to have enough intuitive discernment to understand where I must be emotionally resilient strong enough to believe in myself to pursue certain hobbies andor other goals even when some other well meaning people may question the reasons for me pursuing certain goals. However, a younger woman in her 20s andor younger may yet to develop that intuitive awareness and may need a person who wants the best for her to also tell her to be careful about allowing romantic love affect what more than just what goals you pursue but the types of goals that are transformed andor being careful not to give up on certain goals. For instance, the author shows us some scenes where the character of this creative fiction story was influenced by the various romantic crushes in her life yet some of the scenes could have provided the opportunities andor chances for the woman to also share what her own career andor personal andor educational goals were before meeting these men. Maybe an updated andor sequel if created could include some of the professional, educational, andor spiritual dreams that the main character had when she was younger that she needed to be positively reminded of. I say this with good intent, as fortunately I am learning that sometimes whether the source is from a critic(s) and/ or rival(s), sometimes painful experiences that are dredged up from a person’s past are meant to be shown to a person more to help remind the person in a happy/joyful way their professional andor educational dreams/goals that they may have unintentionally set aside and need to be reminded of. Reluctantly, I admit to only intuitively figuring this out less than 2 weeks ago. What am I implying about this kindlebook;I see the good intent behind what Marie Kondo is implying with the main character’s journey toward’s tidying up. However, during the scenes where she is shown what some of the men said to her, the author could have also gave the main character a realization that somewhere along the way some of those hobbies may have also been harboring some career andor other personal goals that maybe needed to be unearthed along with all of the items she was going through. For instance, yes the main character has a good job with abundant career promotion prospects yet what if her various hobbies were actually harboring her secret dreams of being a psychology teacher andor a songwriter even before she realized this. No the author does not have to use these ideas rather I am just illustrating how sometimes what someone does that appears certain ways to other people may also harbor/unintentionally reveal clues as to career andor educational areas where that person’s unlimited potential can rise even further.

Fast enjoyable read for an overview of the process
Love it. So adorable. Fast read. Shows the concept and teaches the process in an easy to understand way. I like that the character Chiaki goes through a lot of the same reasons that we all do when you've never lived in a "non-messy" environment. I always thought it was just who i am and there were ppl who are neat and ocd and ppl who r not and then hoarders. But its all a choice and it helped me recalibrate my thoughts on why i never got rid of things. I thought if i had a memory i was suppose to keep it or if it wasnt broken i had to keep using it. Or certain clothes didnt have holes so better keep it even though its 10 yrs old and from high school and i dont fit it. The life changing magic of tyding up changed my life 2 yrs ago when i bought it. I didnt get to finish the process last time, but i have restarted it this week and this book helped resurge my spark.I did the clothes purge and got rid of a basket and a half to donate and threw away another basket worth. In the initial purge there were 2 baskets worth of my boyfriends clothes mixed in so i had to seperate that out as i went. All the white tanks are for work under my uniform. I have the hung stuff rising to the right but kept my workout tops in one section at the end together. I'll still have to reorganize them, but they feel better i think. Love that the drawers look pretty and i can see everything. Cant wait to do more and finally decorate aftr living in our new place for a year now. I want it to feel like a home not an apartment. We dont plan on moving for a long time so i dont feel like if i hang stuff on the walls im just gona take it down latr anyways so whats the point. I want to enjoy our space before we get a house, if we ever decide to, that is.

Nice guide to having the home that suits your needs.
I like this cute manga about how to set up a nice living space. It's the yoga of things and space.Imagine your future self in your space. Honor and touch all the things that surround you. Find the feelings in your body when you do that. Keep only what you love, Take care of your things like you love them. It's an attitude of abundance and being friends with your future self not a restrictive approach to minimalism

Cute, and very insightful!
Firstly let me say, I had never heard of Marie Kondo until I got this manga. I stumbled across this while searching for storage, go figure. And secondly, if the people who are rating this low because it’s a manga and not a book, that’s on you for not reading the description. That’s your own stupidity. Now then, holy crap. This manga blew my mind! I own a lot of stuff, and like most women I struggle with letting things go because of “sentimental” value; everything is “sentimental” if you let it be. And this manga helps you to identify what is actually irreplaceable and what is not, as well as telling you that even though you may be getting rid of something, it doesn’t mean the memory is lost along with it. What a concept.I haven’t done anything in the manga yet, I only just finished reading it, and I wanted to give myself a moment to digest what I’ve read; and then I’ll read it again, and begin my journey. As a domestic violence survivor, I have trouble with living in the past; which has translated into a bunch of clutter, and perpetual depression. Making it hard to find the motivation to actually change, and more importantly live in the “now”. I’m hoping to truly employ these methods in my everyday life, and to find the balance that will bring my inner radiance back out.
