Very sturdy and great for imaginative play!
Our son received these for Christmas at 2.5 years old. We use them all the time to build forts, houses, train tracks, staircases, stages, you name it. At close to age 3 he's nearing 40#, and he can step on them without any bending or breaking too. They are so much sturdier than I thought they would be! And I like the combination of physical play and imaginative play they spark for him. He's never really been into blocks or building before getting these, and it's exciting to see his wheels turn.Assembly was pretty easy. I did notice some dye on my hands after putting them all together, but I haven't seen any dye transfer during play.I also love the wood grain, b/c they blend in a little more with our living room furniture when they are scattered all over the place. :)Highly recommend!

Sturdy, realistic blocks
These things are crazy durable! My 4 and 2 year old have beat these blocks up and there's hardly any wear on them. We got them in March and they are still like new (BIG deal around here!) and it's nearly August. The assembly was easy and kinda fun. Also, people can say what they want, but when I'm ordering cardboard blocks claiming to look like real wood, well I expect that it won't look exactly like real wood- bc it's not. These look pretty dang good if you ask me. I was pleased with their appearance as soon as I opened them, and even more with how easy they are assemble. Worth it? YES.

Lots of fun!
I run a small toddler ministry for about 5-6 toddlers (ages 2-4). They love this toy! I am not sure how long it will last because I have some rough boys in there that like to kick, sit and roll around on them. They have to use their BIG imaginations while playing with this blocks (castles, walls, bridges, chairs, beds, pools, dog house..etc). I have fun playing with this too. I love building them high towers and they LOVE knocking it down. I am thinking of ordering more as we grow! The color does not run off (like some I have encountered) it was fairly easy to put together (I am very handy at putting things together though). They feel sturdy as compared to a few other cardboard blocks we have tried. I do not recommend an adult standing on them though!

Well worth the cost, very sturdy!
So glad I bought these. The imagination and fun that is had with these by my 5yo daughter make them well worth it. I do like that they are wood colored and not as gaudy as some of the other bricks and were slightly cathartic putting together.I will probably by another set so my daughter can make more stuff with them.

looks so much better than the fake brick versions that are everywhere on ...
looks so much better than the fake brick versions that are everywhere on amazon. Blocks are robust enough for your kid to make stairs to walk up, unfortunatly these become a means for escape from any room divider or playpen, just watch your kids construct a staircase and walk right out. Still these look so much nicer than the others available. upon opening the box promptly open a bottle of wine and get some music on..you are going to be there a while folding the bozes from flat pack, took about an hour and many cuts from the sharp edges of the cardboard while folding, these sharp edges are not exposed after folding so dont worrry about your kids getting cuts

Wonderful "big blocks" for little kids. Made in America!
HUGE hit at Christmas! Both Grandpas and Dad spent time putting them togehter and baby had a blast knocking over the tall towers of bricks. This is an excellent toy for imaginary play. The cardboard boxes are sturdy (little kid can stand on them) but lightweight (don't hurt if they fall on your head). They do take up a sizable amount of space, so be sure they have a playroom, or a wall where they can be stacked and stored. My daughter thanked me for getting these for her little boy. These will be enjoyed for years. She says she may add to the collection!

Buy These NOW! Stop looking you found your childhood blocks!
As the subject says, these ARE the blocks you had as a kid 40+ years ago. Easy to construct (but takes some time folding 40 blocks), VERY sturdy and lot's of fun with my Grand-daughter. Look at the dates of the reviews that say the ink comes off... they are older and I assume there was a bad run of product before they caught the issue. Today's blocks are awesome and absolutely NO ink comes off. Stop looking and press the add to cart, you know you want to play again!

Count your blocks before assembling
Blocks arrive flat so you have to assemble which goes quickly. If you follow the directions you will have a sturdy block that can withstand the weight of a child. Unfortunately I was shorted two blocks and didn’t realize it until they were all assembled. They were a birthday present for my grandchild and I was disappointed to have to gift an incomplete set (thus the 2 star ding). Thankfully Amazon helped resolve the issue. Maybe count your pieces before assembling in case you have to return them. Also I appreciated the advice of one reviewer to use zippered totes to store the blocks. I purchased two totes which held 40 (or in my case 38) blocks perfectly.
