Hello, The material has an expiration date of two years from manufacture, which is printed on the cartridge label. After using, the remaining material can be kept for about a month.

Q: Can this act as a composite toe replacement?

No. Tuff Toe will not prevent or mitigate injury in the same manner as a composite or metal toe covering. Tuff Toe will enhance weather-resistance, though, when applied correctly.

Q: Is the applicator worth it?

Definitely worth it if you plan on doing this to multiple shoes or on other pairs down the road. Your four arms will also thank you because mine would get sore until I purchased the gun.

Q: Just for one pair? How many applications will this do?

I think only one pair. However we had some left over. We were not satisfied with this product at all. After three months, this stuff started peeling off in chunks. Would not recommend. Take it to a Red Wing Boot store and they charge about $30 to apply the coating. It warranted and you dont waste product in case you dont use it all.
