ButterOnce Corn Butter Knife (one-pack)

I bought these because I've had the same ones from Tupperware since the 1970s. Sadly, one of them broke so I found these on Amazon in my search and they are super sturdy, they don't bend, they don't rust, they work great. Everyone should have these in their kitchen for buttering corn on the cob.

Remember those days when you'd try to butter your corn and most of it ended up in a puddle underneath the ear? This fabulous device solves that problem. Put butter in the curved part of the spreader. The unique shape means more of the butter stays on the corn. Less mess, less hassle. Wish I had bought this eons ago! Treat yourself well!

When its cold, the butter holds to the knife and it spreads nicely on the hot corn, but buttering heats it. The second pat of butter slides off. Maybe 4* out of 5 is unfair, but buy enough for everyone.

Tired of your butter melting down the side of your hot corn on the cob only to end up with a puddled mess ? I know I did. I absolutely love corn on the cob but dreaded the process of evenly buttering the corn. I know I could twirl the corn in the ‘pond’ of butter but that’s not my style. After seeing this item I had to try it and I’m very happy I did. I simply scooped some butter and spread - turn the corn and spread again. Very quick, easy to use, evenly spread and perfect. I found the soft spread butter to melt a little too fast so I tried stick butter and was very happy. I highly recommend this inexpensive yet very well made product.

Curved blade or straight butter knife, the butters going to slide off and melt on the plate. You can dance with the device and the elusive melting butter, but you will lose. A tight fitting corn boat still works best. Put the butter in the boat, put the corn on top of the butter, spin the corn (the butter has no place to run) and voila! buttered corn on the cob.

Works wonderfully well with very little waste and no special holders required that require a full stick of butter. They even look nice on the table!

How did I ever get along without this?!? And why have I never seen anything similar before? It just makes so much sense to have a spreader that conforms to the curve of corn. Makes buttering corn on the cob a snap - like 1/2 the time than with a regular butter knife. Which is amazing when making a big batch of corn on the cob at once. Sure, it's a little pricey for a single use gadget, but I really love it. We eat a lot of corn during the summer & I have enjoyed using this spreader. A+ for originality & function.
