Very good Chinese knife for the money.
This is a Chinese made knife. But it is very good quality, extra sharp, with a well finished handle. It is well balanced, and very comfortable to hold and use in my big bear like hands. Seems to be made of very good quality steel, can't speak to durability or edge retention, as I just got it, but should be good. For the $ it is well worth it. I recommend (if you get an example like mine, which might be hit or miss at this price.

I got this with "55 % discount" for about 36 dollars.I'd say for 36 dollars this is a very good value ( so far will update later).1. Cuts through vegetables, poultry, melon large watermelon, edge looks good sharpness is the same.2. very comfortable handle3. Spine is not purposefully rounded but it is not left sharp to serrate your skin on the thumb - looking at you Poudin. So this was nice bonus.4. handle transitions into the knife smoothly which is nice because it does not hurt my thumb since that's where I place it most of the time during the cutting.

Extremely pleased.
Check out the heal of the blade before you buy. It's different than many knives. Personally, I love it. The notched heal, together with the handle, make the knife very sure in your hand. Too soon to comment on how well it holds an edge, but it certainly arrived razor sharp. I don't value knives for their aesthetics, but it certainly has a nice look. I'm very, very pleased.

Don’t let the price fool you, it’s a good knife!
I was visiting my friends for a few weeks and all they had were dull knives which drives me nuts so I decided on a low cost quality knife. This came out of the box very sharp and we have been using it everyday, and with a little honing it’s been kept as sharp as new. I have expensive knives at home but this was a surprisingly comfortable knife, it fits a wide assortment of hand sizes and is a breeze to clean. For the price you can’t beat it. -Cheers

The build quality was nicer than expected. Box is nice enough to keep and use if you don't plan to have them out for regular use.I tested the sharpness on arrival and was surprised they were ready to go. It was able to easily thinly slice tomatoes, cucumbers etc. It is heavy than my other Gyuto which means its weight helped slice some things but it also did not feel as agile. You may not notice unless you have another knife to compare. Blade is a little thicker than what I would expect from a Gyuto.I'm doing all my cutting on end grain cutting board. All veggies and nothing harder than normal root vegetables. Beets would be the hardest so far.We shall see how long it keeps the knife edge / how often sharpening is needed.
