Wildtrak - Steel City Bike, Adult, 26 Inch, 6 Speed, Shimano shifters - Royal Blue

Big Brownie points! Can't go wrong with this product, great value. My wife who I brought this loves it. Doesn't hurt her back when riding it. Has put a basket on the back. Easy to assemble. The only thing it came as Royal Blue, even though Sky Blue was in the picture. She loves the colour, and so do I, as I'm a Man Utd fan...Sky Blue wouldn't do!

As usual these bikes come in a few parts and need to be put together, with this one it was front wheel, front mudguard handlebars and stem and peddles, the brakes will need adjusting, it comes as you can see well boxed up and I could find no damage on this cycle.So the bike it's a great sit up and beg style bike, this is for my wife who can not get on with her present mountain bike, this has a six speed gear system using a twist grip style changer, not a fan of twist grip shifters but this works and is easy to use, the gears needed a little bit of setting up but after that they shift really well.Once all set up I took it for a test ride and rather liked the feel of it, it rides really well and feels quite comfortable, the wife then had a ride after setting up her position and said the same it's a much better ride for her than the MTB and less gears to worry about.This was so nearly a five star review but one thing let it down, when we first looked at this on Amazon she loved the look, colour and those white wall tyres which give this bike a very retro look, but the one thing that she really liked the look of was that nice big basket on the front, but as it turns out it's not part of the deal even though it shows a nice close up image of it, I have in the past ordered items that have something extra and not had the extra item when it arrived but after checking the product info it generally says that it was not included, I checked the product info on this and nowhere does it give a clear indication it's a separate item, but that is the only negative the bike is a really nice bike if you like the Amsterdam style that is.

No stars at all. This product arrived covered in dust, in a recently reclosed box, as a supposedly new product. It had paint damage on two parts of the frame, and scratches on the handlebars. I had bought it as a present for my wife who was returning from working abroad.I did not open the packet for two weeks. When I assembled the bike it would not work properly and looked like the rear wheel was out of alignment. I have now had the bike examined by a bike engineer and the entire frame (steel!!) is bent and out of true by over 10mm. This is a faulty product and is no way a new item. This is fraudulent trading and because I waited to assemble until my wife returned Amazon is saying no returns. This is illegal unless I can return the product to the actual vendor as by consumer law faulty products are covered for a year. I have dated photos to support this as well as the engineers professional assessment.

I brought this bike to ride to work. The bike arrived packaged nicely. Lovely colour.Unfortunately went down hill from there.The gears never worked properly. They would jump from 3-6 no matter what I tried. Had to replace the inner tube on the front wheel as where the spokes had been joined to the rim the metal had not been filed down, so had to do that, then replace the inner tube. Left hand grip would not stay in place. The breaks only worked when you opened them up so you had to squeeze the break grips right in to the handle bars, otherwise the pads rubbed on the wheel rims. I had to keep tightening the saddle bolt as the saddle kept slipping down, which in turn broke. I replaced the bolt but the same thing happened. I replaced the whole clip with a new clip. Unfortunately no matter how much I tightened it the saddle still didn’t stay in place. I also had to keep putting the chain back on.If I hadn’t have had these problems it would have been a nice bike!!

This is a really good looking and well designed bike. It came in a big rectangle packaging, approx 15kg of weight. Unwrapping took me a while as the bike is safely wrapped, no moving elements, this minimises eventual transport damage or such (see pictures). Putting the bike up took just a few minutes and all the necessary tooling is included, you'll need your own phillips screwdriver though.Our bike unfortunately came without the shopping basket at the front, which is a pity (can't complain though, as the product sample been sent to us in exchange for fair review).The bike uses 6-speed shimano shifters, all works smooth. However, I can't precisely set up the derailleur, it either ignores the smallest or the biggest gear, depends on the position set up with the two adjustment screws (been going with the instruction manual to adjust it as I've never done it before). If I'll be able to set it up properly, I'll then update my review. It's strange though, that this won't work properly straight out of the box and needs the adjustments.Overall, it's a excellent unisex bike, ideal for a quick shopping, trip to the park, or just a casual commuting to work and back. However, for the lack of front basket in the package and little issues with the shifter/derailleur optimisation I'll have to drop one star.Still love the bike though.
