I was really worried about switching my hamster from mixed fruit and seed to just pellets but when I was researching a hamster diet, I said fresh fruit and vegetable pellets and then some seeds. I’m glad I moved her over to high quality pellets. She had no issue with the switch! She’s a happy healthy hamster going on over two years of life, so that’s gotta be something great when our last hamster not on this food last 1.5yr. No I don’t know if they have anything to do with his diet, but I sure wasn’t feeding him these, here’s hoping this stuff helps with health and longevity! I think it’s a great value for money. They tell you what portion size to give, they don’t smell terrible, and they never go to waste. And best part- NO bugs! 3 times I’ve bought other brands of hamster food that have bugs and it’s disgusting. Oxbow is quality.

I can't tell you about the quality or taste, but the girls seem to love it! The value can't be beat either! There is a slight smell to that of any kind of granular food, but it's not bad at all.

I only use oxbow food for my pets and my hamsters absolutely love this blend. I don't feel like the bag is full enough and it is a bit pricey for the amount you get but I continue to buy it for the quality and ingredients to keep my pets healthy.

It smells like you stepped onto a farm as soon as you open the bag (that's a good thing). Oh and speaking of the bag; this is not your grandpa's gerbil food bag, oh no sir, this is a ****ing bag from Cosmos Redshift 7 (best guess) that seals better than a NASA space suit!I kid you not, this bag is the best bag I have ever come across. I'm starting a petition (please sign) to get everything in the world sealed up into these bags. If this company is making these bags themselves, they are in the wrong business! Make ****ing bags, they are top notch, best evah, you will be rich beyond your dreams!Oh and my gerbils seem to like the food but man it sure does make them poop a lot m0ar and just as you'd suspect, the smell is a bit stronger on the way out.
