Easy to install

We used still only 5 pieces from the package of 24.One of them had damaged first time when an RJ45 plug was inserted into it. Its inner part with two LEDs loosened. But it still works.Our other problem is about its documentation, especially the RJ45 pin assignment. The last photo on the product page on Amazon shows that power+ is on pin 3-4-5 and power- is on pin 6-7-8. There is no documentation in the package. Each pair is packaged together and on their back is a sketch showing that power+ is on pin 7-8 and power- is on pin 4-5. But neither is true. Our engineers measured them and found that power+ is on pin 5 and 7 and power- is on pin 4 only. So the power is on one line only which may cause problems with more power-hungry cameras and longer wires. We didn't find problems with the product yet but - once again - we used only on a small number of cameras.

This product has been a game-changer for setting up analog cameras over long distances. It saved me a lot of time during installation, delivering a clean and professional finish. One great tip is to use an Ethernet cable instead of the cable that comes with the product. It’s more affordable, lasts longer, and simplifies troubleshooting. If you encounter issues, you can easily test the cable and often only need to replace the RJ45 connectors or the converter during maintenance. This setup has truly made my life easier, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable and cost-effective camera solution!
