My second one
This is a handy, no-nonsense boot knife. It won't win a beauty contest because practicality trumps aesthetics here. There's nothing to break, come loose, or discolor with time. It's just a chunk of ball bearing steel that's been honed to a razor edge on both sides. I have much more expensive and ornate knives and the problem with those is that I really don't want to screw them up. This one is cheap enough to abuse and well-made enough to take it.The sheath is great. It secures the knife tightly and has a variety of options for integrating it with whatever you've got to work with. 1" leather or nylon straps fit perfectly. This is my second one. The first one is still alive and kicking but I let my son talk me out of it. A couple of weeks later, I regretted the decision so much that I ordered another. Though there was nearly ten years between both purchases, the new knife is just a great as the original. Happy with the purchase.

Good size and discreet
I've been looking for a small, fixed blade, discreet knife, with a sheath, that I can put in my pocket when I walk. This knife fits the bill and fits in my sweatshirt pocket, vs. boot, quite nicely. I found the blade to be straight and sharp and didn't have any issues as mentioned in some other reviews. I like the finger guard on the knife handle which provides a firmer grip and safety in the event I actually have to use the knife. The clip on the sheath grips quite well and I had no problems with the knife falling out of the sheath or dragging on it per other reviews. For you girls out there, yes, this will firmly clip on the leg pocket of your yoga pants, but with the stretchiness of the fabric, you will not be able to easily extract the knife from the sheath if needed. I really like this knife and thought it was quite the bargain for the price point. It would make a good stocking stuffer and it's not just for the fellas.

Best everyday carry knife I have owned so far
I absolutely love this knife. I can conceal it really well because of the slim design and I know it will throw well to but I haven’t gotten to that part yet. It has some weight to it so I know it’s great for throwing. It doesn’t feel heavy in an uncomfortable way just to be clear on the weight part. It cuts just like a knife should and I have tested it cutting plenty of things and it’s flawless so far. Maybe once I start practicing how to throwing it I won’t have any problems. I feel like it’s worth the money personally because I can’t find a knife this big that I can conceal so easily and it’s a great boot knife to!

Nice boot knife
Nice little boot knife! Razor sharp right out of the box and just a solid knife! I like the one piece forging and the black coating is a plus. My only complaint is like all coldsteel knife the knife is great but the sheath is a cheap piece of crap!

Very nice, worth the money
I love this little knife although it’s not so little but it’s not extremely huge either, I walk my dog late at night sometimes and I always carry this in my belt I like that the clip is centered in the middle with a military style clip that locks in place and the mechanism that holds the knife has a very satisfying feel when you push the knife down and you hear it click into place it’s one solid piece of metal And it is extremely sharp and if a stray pitbull came at me late at night I would have no worries because one strike with this and it’s going to sink in deep with a little effort.

BEST STEEL POSSIBLE
This knife is 52100 which is a "ball bearing' steel and you can do a web search for "knife steels" and most will show 52100 at the top of the list for s short blade.... 5160 (spring steel) is the best for a longer blade like a sword but you can't get a better steel than this for a short blade and maybe the handle might be a tittle small but it's not too small for the purpose of a boot knife and overall I think this is a perfect size for the purpose and made with the ultimate metal also!!!! It comes razor sharp and will shave your arm if you try it that way. 52100 is rarely found used in knives since most brands use cheaper stainless that will never equal this metal and if Cold Steel quits making this in 52100, then you will have a collector's item.... I have an original in the "tan" finish and that was only made for maybe 2 years before they went to the newer gray finish. CS has a way of coming out with a great product and then going to inferior metals so if you buy one of these in 52100 now, you may have a collector's item in a couple years. As for the numbers of the metal... 5160... last 2 numbers means .60 carbon content and 52100... the 100 means 1.00 carbon percent. CS has a machete line that uses 1055 or .55 carbon percent and in all these 2 steels.. the first 2 numbers mean other metals mixed but the last numbers are the carbon content.

Sharp beautiful. Not symmetrical, gold ceramic coat comes off easily.
This knife is beautiful right out of the box, the ceramic coat on the knife looks great. The blade comes very sharp. The sheath is good and secure. I have used a lot and it has stayed in tact. Taking a closer look at the blade it had a warp in the blade. The grinds were close but not symmetrical. This was a bummer to me as I was excited for this knife. I’m addition the ceramic coat although aesthetically pleasing, does come off rather easily, revealing the black coat to protect the blade underneath. So do have a little caution with that. Overall not bad for the price. A weighty knife. Hopefully yours will be semestrival and even.
