AVAILABILITY OF SPARE PARTS.
The product works fine but I dropped the Plastic Filter case and it has a small crack which will only get worse and start leaking but the Vendor has not answered as to whether they can supply a replacement. I really need to get a replacement as this is an excellent device but with a cracked Filter will be worthless. Your assistance is being sought, urgently!

Poor instructions but it works
EASY WAY TO PRIME…use your wine thief and put an ounce or two of wine down to intake tube. Lift the tube so the fluid flows to the pump. Turn on the pump and off it goes. Super easy. THAT SAID…the instructions seem like it’s the crib notes the builder uses to remind themselves what to do. In other words, someone that already knows the system without needing pictures. The maker needs to rewrite the instructions from the perspective of someone that’s never seen their product before, because the majority of us haven’t. Also, misspellings don’t help things

Will not pump at all.
Bought it and when I was ready to use it I unboxed it it wouldn't pump the fluid and since it was past 30 days I'm stuck with it. So I'm stuck with it.

Night and day difference. Finally filtering without the mess.
I’ve been using the Buon Vino Mini Jet filter for several years, and while it does work, it was always a messy process with noticeable product loss no matter how carefully I tightened the plates or tried to manage the flow. Cleanup was never quick, and every filtration felt like more work than it should have been. After doing some research, I decided to try the Fermtech Mini 1 Pro. I typically do 6 gallon or smaller batches, so the Mini 2 felt like overkill for my setup. To say I’m happy with the Mini 1 would be an understatement. I filtered a 6 gallon batch twice in about a quarter of the time it would have taken me to do a single pass with the Buon Vino. The flow rate is consistent, the setup is simpler, and the process is far cleaner. Most importantly, I had far less product loss. That alone is a big deal if you care about keeping as much of your wine as possible. Cleanup is also much easier and faster, which makes the whole bottling day less of a chore. The only real downside I’ve found is the hardware used to mount the pump and feet. Two of the feet were off when I opened the box, though all the hardware was in the box so I just attached them. I didn’t think to check anything else until after two filtrations, when I noticed two nuts were missing from the pump mounts during cleanup. I was lucky enough to find one in the sink and one on the floor and put them back on. It works fine now, but I do wish they had used lock washers or thread locking hardware in those spots. My advice is simple. When you get it, check all the nuts and bolts before first use. Overall, for small batch winemaking, the Fermtech Mini 1 Pro is a huge upgrade over the Buon Vino Mini Jet. It is faster, cleaner, wastes less wine, and makes filtering far less frustrating. Despite the minor hardware issue, I would absolutely buy it again and recommend it to anyone doing 6 gallon or smaller batches.

Priming sucks. Read Jems review.
Thank you Jem. This thing IS HARD to prime. Once it was primed, it worked great. The YouTube vid the directions send you to is for a completely different pump. Documentation is sparse and conflicting between the directions for the pump and the filter solution. One says soak for 2 minutes, the other days 15-20. I did 15. 5 stars for getting it working and the performance. -2 stars for absolutely terrible instructions.

I don't recommend this system. The filter is good but the actual pump is poorly designed and weak. It is unable to handle minor particles and cannot clear the filter canister. It leaves over a bottle of wine stuck each pass and the pump can barely move the fluid.
