LG Magic Remote w/Magic Tap (NFC) MR22GN, 2022

I bought this original OEM replacement remote for my LG OLED Smart TV, and it works great! Just like the original — responsive, easy to use, and pairs with the TV without any issues. Exactly what I expected, and the price was affordable too. A solid choice if you need a reliable replacement remote for your LG Smart TV without spending a lot. The only surprise was that I couldn’t use two Magic Remotes at the same time. After connecting the new one, my old remote stopped working properly. Just something to keep in mind if you were hoping to use both.

I didn’t realize how much I would love this remote. The the added feature are awesome. I have a 65” LG tv and the cheap remote that came with the tv wasn’t what seemed to be the right one based on certain feature the tv has. So I bought this since LG said I needed a magic remote to work certain feature the tv has. Now I am so confused how LG would make a tv adding features like built in Alexa or dynamic sound that requires a magic remote and then proved such a cheap remote as if it was enough that I spent nearly $1000 on the tv itself but the. Told I have to spend another $50 bucks for this magic remote they speak of. I was just so happy to find this remote on Amazon. Altho it’s a bit unclear which models it works with, I contacted a LG service company that provided after market remotes and parts to LG product and verified this remote would work with my tv. And it work flawlessly. From the moment I unwrapped it and put the batteries in it automatically connected to my tv without even having to be paired. The voice button to access Alexa is pretty cool. But what I like the most about it is the air mouse feature. You just point to the tv with the remote and the mouse icon pops up. Then you just wave it around and it makes it so much easier to scroll thru things and even type in words such as passwords. I never knew what I was missing til I got this remote and I’m so glad I did!

Did some research and found you cannot ‘link’ a second magic remote to the TV - but many functions like input selection, settings, volume, power all work on this remote out of the box with the respective buttons without linking to the TV. There is no magic pointer - but this is fine for a second remote for me (my wife uses the main remote) For example, without a pointer, you can still click the settings button (gear wheel) on the 2nd remote and it will pop up the main settings menu. Use the navigation buttons in the center of the remote to click through the menu and options and press the center (roller) button to make a change- then click the settings (gear wheel) to exit the menu. The ( … ) function (button below the #9) does not work (e.g. information option) as this requires the pointer. Hope this helps!

I don't usually post anywhere! So with that being said, I will speak up about this remote. I had my doubts while waiting for delivery. I read somewhere that you cannot pair 2 remotes to the same TV. I didnt try it out right away, but when I did I was totally surprised. I put the batteries in, hit the volume button and it worked! I had a message on the screen that... I think it said... "remote configured'. Was not really paying attention as my Yankee woman was yapping on the phone. I'm a southern boy, so if you know... you know. 🙄🤭🤗 still love her... going on 46 yrs. Don't even worry about it. If you need a replacement remote. This is the exact OEM replacement for your remote. Now I have my remote and the Yankee woman has hers... Life is Good!

Worked well with my two year old Large Screen. Love the mouse ability, makes surfing through the multiscreens a breeze. Setup was right out of the box with the quick start guide for pairing.

I took a chance on this remote as it was one of the discounted ones, probably a return. It arrived in perfect condition and really looked brand new. My guess, the person that had it first didn't follow the instructions on how to link it to their TV and sent it back. They probably missed the slip of paper in the package with the remote that explained it. I must admit, I almost did the same darn thing! My son actually found that piece of paper in the package with the sequence code that explained what buttons to push in what order and... voila! Now I have a new remote to replace the one with repaired Magic wheel. They aren't actually made very well and after a few years of constant use, the little plastic pin on the ball, breaks off. I did tear the old one apart, drilled out the ball, replaced the pin with a steel one, but it's much stiffer now and doesn't roll as easily as the new one. The old remote still works, just not the pointer. Still, nice to have as a backup. This is the factory original remote. I wouldn't trust any of the aftermarket ones, not after reading the reviews. Stick with the original, it's worth a few extra dollars.

Nice replacement for Lg model C1 remote control. After putting on the batteries, it started working immediately. At first the mouse pointer is not appearing ( i thought i am missing this feature 😅 ) , and then a prompt appears that magic remote installed then it works like a breeze. Highly recommended.

Avevo paura che fosse un compatibile ed invece è esattamente come l'originale, con gli stessi tasti compresi quelli per i principali streaming: appena ho usato il magic remote mi ha chiesto di configurarlo ed in un attimo funzionava perfettamente in tutte le sue funzioni
