Why is it saying to add water when I am brewing a 12oz cup and there is still enough water in the reservoir for 4 more cups?

I just unpacked my Mr Coffee Pod+10-Cup Combo Brewer. There is a little note slipped in the packaging. Troubleshooting: ADD WATER with full reservoir take the following steps Unplug device, Plug in device Press STRONG and MIN buttons at the same time for 5 seconds, Wait 30 seconds. Coffeemaker now ready. I have not had this issue. The note tucked in the box indicates this has been a problem.

Is the little drip tray used when brewing with the carafe?

I have this machine . . . It does all it says i will, reasonably well . . . I've registered 190 F as the coffee comes out. If you overflow the drip tray (as I did) . . . the electronics are likely to short out and the machine may never work 100%, again . . . as mine does not.

Do the brewing buttons really work? i love strong coffee and really need options for others in the house.

Is there a way to repair or replace the sensor for brewing k cups? Mine will no longer switch to ounces.

I don’t know the answer, however I would research Mr Coffees website or contact them. I purchased this last April and returned it in just a few days. I could never get it to brew correctly and this was a disappointing purchase.
