Moonshuttle Black Hole Cat Litter Mat, Headshape, Dark Gray

This mat is a bit more expensive than many other litter mats, but it is worth the price by far because it is the last mat you will buy. No other mat I have tried has even come close to the blackhole in terms of trapping litter!!! It is also extremely easy to clean, as you can just tilt the trapped litter right back into the box (or the trash, if you prefer). Also, for some reason my cats always clawed and shredded other mats, regardless of material or texture, but not this one. Having the little perforated holes on the top layer has deterred my cats from scratching the blackhole mat.The mat comes in 2 sizes, I purchased this smaller size (23"x21") and it has worked perfectly. However, if you have a cat that likes to kick litter far outside of the box, you may want to consider the larger size (30"x23"), also available on amazon under a separate listing. I do wedge the top edge under the litter box to ensure it stays in place on the tile floor, the mat itself is lightweight and does not have a particularly "non-slip" backing. On carpet or textured surfaces this probably is not an issue. I am beyond thrilled to have found this mat!!!

When I first received this mat, the holes and the bumps were a lot larger than I expected and did not expect it to trap too much litter. It is very uncomfortable to walk on and I was afraid my cat would not like to walk over it. However, after a while, litter does accumulate in it nonetheless, so I assume it does its job. This product advertises its easy-to-clean method, but in actuality, the mat is quite stiff so it is hard to bend it open to let the litter slide out. Even if you do manage to bend it open, the material is not very slick so the litter does not slide off easily. I usually either get impatient or my arms will tire out and I end up trying to shake the litter out which leads to the litter flying everywhere rather than neatly in my trash bag. Even with its faults, I do like this product, but I do not think it is worth the $35 I paid for. I probably would not buy again.

Ordered 2 of these and they are fantastic. Over some 40 odd years I've tried numerous variations of rugs, mats & etc outside the litter boxes in an effort to stop loose litter from tracking all over the house - TO NO AVAIL. Finally a product that works and works well. Once a week or so I take outside and open end and empty all accumulated litter. If they need it or not - I rinse them off and stand on end to dry. Whole process takes less than 30 minutes including drying time. Love these so much I actually just ordered a third one today to go in front of our 3rd litter box. With 5 cats, I expect some tracking but over time using these I've realized that 95% of the remaining loose litter being tracked in is from the 3rd box that doesn't have this litter mat. I definitely recommend this product!!!

Love the design, the smaller size makes it easier to have in our camper, & the cat shape gives it a bit a flare as it is seen in our camper. These aren't the cheapest on the market, but you definitely get what you pay for. Our cat is messy in his litter box, these have been a life saver in the camper & we have a large one at home. My cleaning lady wrote down the brand to show her other clients who have cats. Being able to take the mat outside & dump it makes cleaning it so easy.

This works really well, exactly as it is intended to. It catches A LOT of the litter that my cats would otherwise get all over the floor. It is really easy to dump out when I change the litter, and it is easy to clean (just spray it down with the regular cleaner and the hose, and then let it dry in the sun outside or in your mudroom). My only problem with this one is that when I am dumping it back into the litter box, litter gets stuck in the "ears" so I have to shake it a lot to get it all out. I would recommend buying just the regular mat shaped one. We have that one in another area of that house and there is zero issues with the rectangular shape.

Nicely made and cute. It is very helpful in lessening litter tracking however did not alleviate tracking. I went ahead and switched to the litter breeze system and tracking has decreased SOOO much and I still use this mat with it and it catches the few bits of litter pellets that do get kicked out. Overall I would recommend this product and I love the intricate stitching design around the edges. Very cute.

My cat still tracks litter around the apartment (and sometimes even in my bed, which ick). I was hoping this would be a magic bullet, but that's not the case. I think it's a little better than it was before, but it's just okay, I guess. I could maybe try a different type of litter?It is fairly easy to get the litter out of the mat though. The hose attachment on my vacuum is pretty good at sucking it all out, and I don't event have to touch the mat or stick the hose in between the two layers.

Okay so I loved this at first. Until I remembered that I live in a one bedroom place with no easy access to a large garbage can to shake this into. I could carry it through my living room to the kitchen, but that just makes me think I'll scatter litter on the carpet.I think if you have your cat litter in the basement or a separate area where you can shake it out, it is great! I've actually ended up cutting the ears off of mine, as gunky litter was getting caught in them :O/. I'm on the fence as to whether or now I should replace it with one of those webby ones. This does trap a lot of litter, but there's still always scatter. I would love to find a mat that takes it all in!

Très grand tapis qui a plu tout de suite à mon chat et qui retient bien les gravillons.Par contre, faire attention en le prenant pour le nettoyer, sinon tout tombe ..Le seul défaut. ..c'est à la réception. ..Un énorme carton et un tas de papier pour combler le vide, que j'ai du emmener à la déchetterie car la copropriété interdit les gros cartons dans les poubelles !! Des frais inutiles qui augmentent le prix du tapis !!

This is expensive but by golly it works. Our male cat had taken over two bedrooms so when we introduced another cat we had to use the dining room to avoid confrontation. Even laying a rug under the litter, bits were still being padded over the carpet, although at least she was clean given that she had never been used to using a litter tray. I searched around and after seeing the reviews on this decided it would be worth it. I works so well that when I did use the cleaner, I tipped it upside down thinking there was nothing on it and loads came out of the inner flap. I suspect kitty is also using it to scratch with but beats using the carpet.An excellent product and it looks quite good as well, unlike the plastic ones I have with the other litters.

Da es für diese Matte noch keine Bewertung gab, schildere ich kurz meine Erfahrung:Unsere 4 Katzen tragen nicht nur gern Streu an den Pfoten aus dem Klo, sondern scharren auch mal gerne was heraus. (Da hilft auch kein Klo mit Haube + Deckel...) Ich habe schon viele Matten ausprobiert, diese sind meisten nur zu klein, zu wabbelig oder schlecht zu reinigen. Die Stoffmatten (so ein Filz-Fleece) wurden von einer Katze nachts immer quer durch das Haus geschleppt, als Beute. Die meisten der Plastikmatten sind viel zu klein, da scharren unsere einfach dran vorbei.Von der BlackHole Matte habe ich eine auf "Gut Glück" bestellt, einfach weil sie deutlich größer war und bei amazon.com sehr positiv bewertet war. Ich muss sagen, sie ist den doch teuren Anschaffungspreis wert. Sie ist sehr robust und bleibt vorm Klo liegen, auch wenn mal eine Katze daran scharrt. Man kann sie wunderbar absaugen, oder kurz hochnehmen, auskippen und gut ist. Und sie ist einfach deutlich größer als die normalen Matten die man sonst so bekommt. Es wird zwar hin und wieder noch was vorbeigescharrt, aber seitdem fliegt bedeutend weniger Streu im Haus rum. Ich werde die anderen Klos jetzt auch damit ausstatten.

Très mignon, très utile car retient une bonne partie des petits bouts de litière, entretien facile. Il tient bien en place.
