Peet's Coffee, Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee - French Roast 18 Ounce Bag

Peet's French Roast is my favorite coffee so far. I just received my order of two packages, but one was past its "best by" date. I got a refund for that one. The other package I just ground, and the the fresh coffee scent is excellent! Kind of a peanut buttery scent. This is a dark roast, but it is not oily. Perfectly roasted. I have ordered Peet's French Roast multiple times, and will definitely order again! The flavor is strong just how I like it (black).

This Peet's French roasted coffee is perfect if you like dark coffee, with intense flavor and zero acidity. The aroma when grinding it already wakes you up, and the taste is deep, almost chocolatey. Ideal for French press or drip coffee maker. Recommended if you like coffee with character!

We love Peets dark roast coffee! Only trouble with buying it on Amazon, one time you'll get a product with an expiration date 6 months in the future, and the very next time you'll get a bag that expires in a week or two...like the last time :-( But...none the less, we love the coffee.

I don’t care what anyone says. Legit the best coffee brand is Pete’s but also the French roast knocks all other types out of the park.

I've been drinking Peet's coffee for nearly forty years. I liked the taste of dark roasted coffee immediately, although for some of my friends it took a short while for them to develop a taste for this style of roasting, and a few never got there.Peet's is among the first, if not the very first, major coffee roaster to roast beans this dark (They have long-since added medium- and light-roasted coffees to their brand. I've read that the founder of Starbuck's learned his craft while working at Peet's.)This is the first time that I've purchased this coffee from Amazon. The price here is lower than ordering directly from the company. Ordering directly allows for a wider selection of beans and degrees of roasting, and the company custom roasts per order, and is delivers in just two to four days. That said, this batch from Amazon tasted quite fresh.

during prime day sales, i thought i'd try a few other "famous" commercial brands and blends beyond my usual comfort zone (of lavazza (red label) top class). i brewed this peet's up the same multi step french press way i always do, the results were a bland coffee with no offensive nor distinctive flavor notes. i honestly don't know what all the fuss is about here. so if you are loyal to this coffee, you may want to explore other options, as i found this coffee rather weak, boring and normally over priced.

Ok, whoever you are reading this - we are total strangers but Im going to give you some really good advise.... YOU MUST buy this brand and make sure its French Roast and whole bean is always best. I like to toast the beans in a pan for a bout 5 min stiring them around then cool them off and put in a jar, grind right before making your coffee and you will see this is litreally the best tasting coffee you have ever had in your life. Once I tried this brand I have never used anything else. Petes is expensive so finding the lowest priced seller is imporant and this is the lowest price I have ever found yet its fresh and perfect quality. Love it so much we buy again and again.
