Bought to cut selected trunks from coppice without causing the damage to other trunks that would be caused by a regular chain saw. Selected this one as it had an oiling mechanism for the chain unlike many cheaper mini chainsaws. I am hoping this saw lasts longer than a previous other brand one that only lasted one season, optimistic but cannot confirm till I have subjected it to longer use.

LATEST UPDATE- I wrote a message to Kebtek USA and received a very prompt response (which I was not expecting but why not try). After a few questions about the issue they asked if it was OK if they sent me a new saw. This was outside the 6 mo warranty that is in the listing Not only did they send the saw but also included the entire kit as originally purchased and did not ask me to send back the dysfunctional one. Finally, the did this without ever asking me to modify my review. That is some of the best customer service I have ever received oline or otherwise. I'm glad to have the working saw back and recommend Kebtek without hisitation. UPDATE****** I haven't used this saw for a few months as it is winter in Alaska and I do very little cutting. Today I brought it out to cut some small branches that broke off due to snow load. First five cuts were awesome but then it just stopped. Charging batteries up again didn't help. It is just dead. This is embarrassing as I suggestedthi saw model to friends and now Iregret it. I bought this based on good reviews and paid a bit more than the others available in hopes that this might last. I used it 5- times total and now nothing. I guess these little saws are not ready for prime time. ORIGINAL REVIEW******* I have had this saw a couple of months now and am very satisfied with what it can do. I have several chainsaws and have used them thousands of hours so I know what they can and can’t do. This saw is not designed to fell a tree or buck up large trunks/branches. The saw excels at brush clearing, pruning, and even cutting some Timbers for landscaping. Like any chainsaw, YOU NEED TO MAINTAIN IT! Keep the chain sharp and tight, make sure you use the bar oiler and, for god’s sake don’t let the chain get run into the dirt as it will make a perfectly fine chain perfectly awful in about a second. The additional length of the bar is a plus for this saw as it gives it added versatility. It is light and easy to grab and use one handed (unlike bigger saws if you value you limbs). My only beef is the battery capacity. It is fine but with just the 2 batteries you will not be spending an afternoon cutting (45 minutes each tops) and charging them is very slow. I’d like to find a couple more batteries that are compatible with this saw so I could start with 4. I probably have 10 chainsaws to include several gas and other battery powered saws and this one has earned its place in the go to shelf (just don’t expect it to be the only saw you will ever need).

Von der Leistung her eine gute Säge für die Größe, aber das mit dem Öl funktioniert nicht. Einlassöffnung zu klein, man hat nicht immer einen Trichter zur Hand, und an der Kette kommt kein Öl an, auch wenn man den Gumminippel an der Einlassöffnung mehrmals betätigt. Wenn es funktionieren würde, wäre das genau der große Vorteil gegenüber den Mitbewerbern. Leider… Sollte eigentlich auf 4,5 Sterne abwerten. Ersatzketten findet man leider auch nicht!!! Ich habe die Säge jetzt ein knappes Jahr im schweren Einsatz und bin immer noch begeistert, bei manchen Leuten funktioniert auch der Akku nicht, die könnten auf Makita Akkus umsteigen, mein Tipp. Aber alles zusammen reicht nicht mehr für eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Ich Öle mit der Hand Mit einem Fahrradkettenspray, funktioniert wunderbar und geht schnell. Fazit, wenn sie geht eine wunderbare Säge mit großer Leistung, aber alle anderen Umstände maximal noch drei Sterne und keine Kaufempfehlung. Wir nur kleine Arbeiten hat, Also nicht mehr als zwei Bäume im Jahr aus Asten, eine wunderbare Säge, aber für alle anderen, die öfters ne neue Kette brauchen und auch wirklich zuverlässig Öl auf der Kette haben müssen. Drei Sterne!

Schon länger ärgere ich mich über die Sägearbeiten an meinen Sträuchern und Büschen. Solange die Pflanzen klein waren, ging alles problemlos mit der Astschere, seit ein paar Jahren muss ich immer mal wieder die Handsäge ansetzen, weil die Äste dicker geworden sind. Mini-Kettensägen gibt es inzwischen unzählige, also warum dann die Kebtek? Ich wollte unbedingt 8 Zoll (man weiß nie, was noch kommt) mit bürstenlosem Motor. In diversen Tests hat die Kebtek gut abgeschnitten, bei Amazon gab es sie im Angebot. Da musste ich nicht lange überlegen. Auch wenn ich sie nur 2 Mal jährlich für Form- und Rückschnitte brauche, ist sie eine enorme Arbeitserleichterung. Mein Nachbar hat sich die Säge auch schon ausgeliehen, um 3 ca. 4 Meter hohe Lebensbäume radikal runterzuschneiden. Auch eine Palette habe ich damit schon zu Kleinholz verarbeitet. Alles das hat die Keptek klaglos erledigt. Ein Förster wird mit der Säge vermutlich nicht glücklich, für Arbeiten im mittelgroßen Garten und im Haushalt ist sie absolut ausreichend. Nachdem ich ein paar Akkuladungen leer gesägt habe, möchte ich den anschraubbaren Handgriff nicht mehr missen. Damit hat man einfach mehr Gewalt über die Säge. Bei anderen Sägen in dieser Preisklasse habe ich das noch nicht gesehen.
