It's a great rice cooker
Having struggled to make consistently good rice over the years, I finally invested in this rice cooker. I have to say that it has been a revelation - you can simply set it to work and 40 mins (approx) later you have perfectly cooked rice.No saucepans boiling over or running dry, you can concentrate on whatever else you are cooking for your meal.It is especially useful because it reduces waste - when you are measuring rice freehand with a measuring jug I always seemed to make way too much. This is precise. Also, it is fine to make half a cup (supplied measuring cup) for a good single portion if eating alone. The only down sides (and they are slight niggles) are these:1. The control display is quite dim to read. So if the cooker is on a kitchen worktop in a lit kitchen, you will find yourself bent over with your glasses on trying to read it. It's not a show stopper, but it's a bit annoying.2. The instruction booklet could (should) be rewritten. It came with an insert card as well, which seems to have been an attempt to head off questions arising from the booklet, which is great, but in my view it could have been clearer from the start.Having said all that, I will still give five stars because the quality of the rice it produces is excellent, and removes the complication of good rice preparation from your time at the stove.

Love
Very satisfied with this appliance, as compact and practical as you might expect. Wash the bowl by hand. That's the only thing you have to worry about.

Does what it says, perfect everytime
The best rice cooker by far, perfect rice everytime, even small half cup portions. Incredibly easy to use, "fuzzy logic" works across all the rice types and recipes. Automatic keep warm function is brilliant and doesn't need extra water added until quite a few hours later. Ceramic cooking bowl needs to be treated carefully but no more so than a plate or glass.

Makes some of the best rice I've ever had, but a few design issues
Firstly, this device looks great and works even better. With the Yumami setting especially, it makes some of the most delicious rice I've ever had. The interface is simple and intuitive, and overall I never feel I need to think much about how to use it for rice. The included utensils are of excellent quality and have thoughtful aspects that make you realise they really thought about how to design them well. However, it's got a couple of design flaws that are quite annoying.Firstly, the seals at the top get very steamy and wet. Understandably, but it gets in the crevices in a way that it probably shouldn't. I have to remember to do a proper thorough drying of them every time and get into the crevices as I would worry a lot about mould potentially growing there if not.Secondly, the "porridge" setting is a great idea but seems fundamentally flawed. Using their provided recipe, I'm utterly unable to get the porridge to cook in a way that doesn't cause it to boil over about 10 minutes into the process. That causes oaty goo to come oozing out of the steam vent at the top, which is an absolute pain to clean both on top of the machine and inside the vent filter. It's quite gross. I've found I can stop it doing this by opening the lid to reduce the bubbling/rise about 8 minutes in, but it's about as far from "set it and forget it" as I can imagine - I actively have to remember to deal with it or else it will make an annoying mess that takes a while to clean up.

Yay!
Love this rice cooker.Love that I can set it and just get on and it will keep warm until I'm ready to eat.As a single person it wasn't easy finding a cooker that would do a small enough portion for one. It's easy to clean, and I've eaten rice as many nights as possible since it arrived.

I love this cooker!
Full disclosure, I don't like cooking and I'm quite lazy, but I want to eat healthily. This rice cooker is brilliant! What works for me is 100g of white rice (Cheap long grain), about 150ml of water and some frozen veg. A handful of pulses (Peas, broad beans), some sweetcorn, broccoli, cauliflower and/or Brussel sprouts. Whack them in there, switch it on, select the long grain function and about 40 minutes later...dinner is served. It's easy to clean, remove the ceramic bowl and wash it by hand. I use a paper towel to dry the silicone seal.

Overcooked rice in a jiffy
I just don’t seem to be able to eat the rice made in the rice cooker. It’s so overcooked and the settings don’t allow me to set it for less than 40 mins. I think the fuzzy logic doesn’t work clearly. When I tried to use less water, it turns at the bottom. Quite disappointing but my dog seems happy. Not even sure I can send it back now. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Didn’t know I needed this but I do.
A brilliant bit of kit. I make a lot of Asian food and therefore a fair amount of rice. In the past it’s been tricky to get the rice ready at the same time as the rest of the meal. Always mildly stressful. Not now. Chuck the rice in. Top up with water. Press a button. Ignore. If the rice is ready a bit early the machine automatically keeps it warm until you’re ready. I’m not a gadget person but this is just brilliant. Looks good. So easy to clean. Couldn’t be better. Love it.
