Wow - Who doesn't love a gadget
I do love a bit of tech - and had not played with a thermal printer until i got a couple of these. They are great - not cheap but you get what you pay for . Many of the comments on here relate to the app - whilst its not as intuitive as it might be - I managed to get along with it and was printing in less than 30 mins from opening.Product seems well made and does the job for my limited needs.

Impossible to use no support
I had to give this one star, but that was being generous.I have followed the instructions, down to the letter to get this connected to our network, and get label printing... I have basic IT and networking knowledge, However this product has taken all morning, and still won't communicate from PC to Device, and vice versa using their software. The online guides, to the issues I am having do not help it's just one stumbling block after anotherthe Zebra support community webpage, does not work, wont allow you to register or login, throwing one error after another.I set up an account to log a case, won't let me login saying I am not registered, so I go to register again but won't let me saying account already exists.the online chat is 100% automated and just loops round asking the same questions over and overI won't be buying or recommending Zebra products againIt would be easier to print my own labels on a4 and cut them out.Rubbish product, hard to install not fit for purpose software , no accessible support

A nice little bluetooth printer usable by a phone or PC
Not bad quality printing, connectivity via Bluetooth I could use this from my Android phone or my PC without any problems. No problems or issues while setting up via Android although I had to use an Android emulator to get it to work on the PC.Print quality is fine battery life was adequate overall I'm happy with the product.

A day of frustration but it finally seems to work
After installing and uninstalling the drivers a dozen times then trying to install it on another pc we finally got a working print. Easy to load and the print is clear but the setup wizard is a joke - its like windows 3.1 all over again! really unclear as to which model this was from the documentation so took several attempts down to that. We went for this as the cheaper printer we had gave up over Christmas. We though Zebra was the go to brand - a decent product let down by Zebra's software setup.

Don't bother you have better things to do
Where do I start, a terrible installation experience. As our company IT person I spent 3 days trying to get this printer to install and work and failed, I have never experienced such a frustrating installation process on any device on either our network or anywhere else for that matter. If i actually got it to install it would print one label and go into an error status, couldn't communicate with the printer via USB or ethernet or the web interface or via the Zebra software so have to assume this one was a dud however other reviews (which I wish I'd read before buying) suggest not.

Really struggled to install it
I thought this would be quite simple to install such as just a plug and play however, I was quite wrong and ease of installation was difficult - I just could not get it to install even though I’m used to it technical things like this.Once I had some help from an expert in this field (may I had it still took them some time to figure it) the overall performance of the printer was reasonable. However, the interface factually, designing and printing labels was poor. Once working, the speed of the printing is good and very quick. The quality of the labels is good and the printer itself feels good quality but the app is definitely not in line with that. Hopefully they can improve it.The colour is what you would expect, and with it, being a thermal printer it does just black and whiteOverall value for money I would say it’s quite poor as this is expensive and very difficult to use

Tricky installation
I was looking for a printer that would print effort free and at a click of a button from my mobile phone, unfortunately this just doesn't seem to be doing it for me. This model is to be used with a laptop or computer. The printer itself is a fairly chunky device where the printer roll paper can sit inside. The paper is easy to put in, the holder just springs open and close on the holder, you can run the start of the roll under the guides so it's sat correctly in place. That's the easiest part of it all, for the rest, the whole installation I am proper struggling with. Theres a qr code to scan to help "guide" you. Still it's all complicated, needing to download a multiple of things, drivers, ect. It does look a decent machine, but I'm not tech savvy enough to understand the whole connection process. Unfortunately doesn't seem to me the right sort of machine for me.

Excellent printing quality, once installed.
I have a mixed experience on this Zebra Direct Thermal Printer, it’s a good quality made but let down by the tricky installation process. The instructions were not easy to follow and straightforward during the installation process. You'll need to download software components from the printer's website using a barcode on the leaflet. It worked well on my Windows 10 desktop but was challenging on an older laptop.Once installed, the printer performs well. It offers clear and adjustable printing quality, especially for barcodes. It accommodates both thermal paper rolls and fanfold thermal paper. However, it's a no-frills device, providing just the basics, which can be an advantage for specific tasks. But, it comes at a price of £274 (at the time of writing) without labels.Overall, this Zebra Direct Thermal Printer delivers on performance but has a tricky setup. If you can handle the installation, it's a reliable choice for essential printing tasks. However, the price and setup may be a drawback for some.
