Q-See 8-Channel 4-Camera 1080p Security System with 1TB HDD DVR - QTH83-4CN-1

The reason you buy a CCTV system is to monitor your assets. Well this system does a good job except for one major flaw. The remote app barely works. Nine out of ten times you try to view the system remotely you get a bunch of cryptic messages that basically tells you the app cannot connect to your system. Thinking it may be my network I also have Nest products at the same site and they work EVERY time. So it is obvious Q-see has issues with their servers that support the remote access app. Lesson learned! Too bad I have so much invested in this product or I would be using a more reliable system. If you don't care about remote viewing etc this is a pretty good product but who these days doesn't want reliable remote access to their security system.

Was not easy to set up for Imac or my iPhone. Still cannot get figured out yet. Work full time so will have to wait until this weekend to try and figure out.

Picked up this system in February. Very happy with it. The cameras are very clear and the night vision is very detailed. The installation went very well. Setting up the DVR wasn't the easiest to set up but after a 45 minute online chat with customer support everything is up and running perfectly. I would have given 5 stars had it not have been the 45 minute customer support deal.

When installed, it work fine for 4 days then each channel stopped one by one then everything went

system quit after 6 months. q-see dragged out the warranty process 2 weeks, putting me past the warranty date.

These are great little systems. Easy to install and operate.
