Makes cute chocolates!
My kids have food allergies, so each year at Halloween I melt down some allergy-safe chocolate chips and use candy molds to make chocolates for them. I wrap my homemade chocolates in aluminum foil and trade them to my kids in exchange for their candy that they can't eat. This year I made smiley chocolates in these molds. They came out great! The eyes and smiling mouth were very clearly visible. I used a chopstick to poke the melted chocolate deep into the grooves, to make sure it reached everywhere with no bubbles.I'd been using plastic candy molds in past years, but I was worried about so many plastics being toxic, so this year I switched to silicone because it may be safer. The big difference that I notice between these molds and my old plastic candy molds is that these are are much bigger. I made seven big smileys (maybe 2 inches in diameter) and nine Easter Island statues (from these: Fred & Friends Stone Cold Ice Trays) with the same amount of chocolate that I'd usually use to make a zillion little chocolates. My kids seemed content to have fewer big chocolates instead of more little ones. These trays are a little floppy, so it was trickier to get them into the fridge than the stiff plastic trays I used to use -- I put these on a cookie sheet to move them, and that worked very nicely. These were easier to unmold than chocolates in plastic trays, because the silicone is very flexible. Now that I've done chocolates, I want to try using these to make ice!

These are really cute. I get a kick out of things like this. I sweeten my coffee with Stevia then when It's frozen I don't have to have to sweeten the coffee I put over the cubes. Just add milk or creamer and you're on your way to delicious drink;. I suggest getting 2 of these. I got 2 of them. This way I can make twice the amount of iced coffee cube beans. This really is cool beans. lol. These are bigger then I thought. The Ship is a very nice size and the icebergs are a nice size. not to small. also, Silicone ice trays are better for freezing ice. because you don't have to run water on them to get the ice out. I've noticed that this company makes very good quality product. I highly recommend these for any Titanic fan.

Fun Product!
I really like my coffee bean ice cube tray! It looks so much like coffee beans (much larger though) and definitely makes an iced coffee seem much more exciting! My only complaints would be that it is very difficult to transfer into the freezer once there is coffee in it, I had to place it on a tupperware lid to prevent it from flopping and spilling everywhere. It is also very hard to get the cubes out of the tray. My only other complaint would be that it doesn't make that many ice cubes (not enough to fill a cup) and although the cubes are quite large, it barely filled half of my glass. I am actually considering buying a second tray though to have enough ice since I do like the product very much!

Nice but not quite big enough
Maybe I should have bought two of them. Filling it up once is not enough to cool one glass of iced coffee and still have ice in the cup (we used keurig iced coffee). Would work great maybe if you premade a lot of coffee as well and kept it in a pitcher or something. Two of them would be perfect for making one glass fresh. The cubes come out pretty easy. To combat the not enough ice situation we have made a lot of cubes in advance and bagged them up in the freezer. It is nice to have an iced coffee that is cold and not watered down at home and way cheaper than going to a coffee shop after making 2 or 3 of them.

Cute cubes for my cold coffee
I can't drink hot, hot coffee (burned my tongue as a child), so I always add ice to my coffee, even in the winter. I had previously bought ice cube trays that would allow you to "pop" the cubes out one-by-one since I would only want two cubes at a time. I tried to release several cubes at once by twisting the tray (as most people do), it cracked and I had to throw it (and my coffee cubes) in the trash. I figured silicon trays would work better. Boy do they ever! I can pop one out at a time and enjoy my coffee at the perfect temp. I even found that only one of these cubes brings my coffee down to the perfect temp; I had to use two normal cubes for a cup before and it would be colder than I wanted. I think I might need to buy more in different shapes for making other types of drinks (lemon spikes for tea, lime jewels for mojitos, etc).

Makes coffee bean ice cubes, or vagina ice cubes. You decide!
I love this ice cube tray. I've used it primarily with coffee (its intended purpose), and the silicon tray makes it easy to pop out those ice cubes without losing their shape (although if you fill it all the way to the top, they become more difficult to remove without actually touching them...fill it about 3/4 of the way).However...the very first thing that we noticed once we removed our first batch of coffee ice cubes, was that the ice cubes looked both like coffee beans and brown vaginas. Seriously! Not enough that a small child would notice, but enough that someone who knew the story of the birds and bees would take notice.Which means this ice cube tray can serve dual purpose - coffee bean ice cubes, OR, ice cubes for a bachelorette or bachelor party (or something of the sort).Have fun!!!PS - when making ice cubes with full strength coffee, we found the coffee separated a bit from the water/ice, and concentrated near the surface of the tray. This is true for any ice cube tray we've found regarding making coffee ice cubes. We tend to dilute the coffee for greater ease in removing the cubes, and for even distribution of coffee in the ice. Also, wait until your leftover coffee has cooled before using it to make ice cubes.

Fun for coffee lovers!
I bought this tray as a gift for my boyfriend (a passionate coffee drinker and a kid at heart). He LOVED it! We have been using it on a daily basis. My only negative comment about the tray is that it only makes 8 ice cubes. Other than that, its a great fun purchase and a fun gift. It's very flexible and durable. Make sure to wash it thoroughly when it arrives (the one I purchased had a strong plastic-y and rubber smell).
