I love this trash can. I’ve had it for 6+ months and it still makes me smile. I had a cheap, plastic, ugly trash can I purchased from Target years ago that I wanted to replace for the longest time, but couldn’t wrap my mind around spending almost $90 on a fricking trash can. However, this trash can was worth every penny and I would spend even more money for this trash can if needed. Pros - everything. Looks great and works even better. The minimalistic, sleek, smudge-proof design makes storing trash sexy. The step pedal requires very little force, and the lid opens quickly but with restraint. No lid snapping open and striking your walls happening here. There is an inner plastic lining that is removable, making trash bag removal and changing easy. There is a little notch where you slide a small portion of the trash bag into to keep it from slipping and it does just that - no slippage of your trash bag. No reaching down into the doom and gloom of strange odors and textures to wrangle the topmost edge of the bag free when it slips down. The bag ALWAYS stays put. And the trash can blocks odors!!! My kitchen never smells from the trash, even if it’s spoiled food. Cons - nothing. Worth every single penny. I would sell my plasma if needed to get this trash can again. I realize I am now fully adulting to be gushing over something like a trash can, but this was one of my best purchases for the entire year. You will love this trash can.

I purchased this for us in my new kitchen. I have all stainless steel appliances, so the appearance matches well. I have been pleased. It is nicely constructed. I like the removable insert. The lid also works very easily. I did initially find it hard to hold the lid open. However, after an email to the vendor, they explained that one needs to lift up on the lid as it is coming up, before it reaches past about 30-60 degrees open. Then one can pull it back to stay open very easily. If you use the foot pedal to fully open the lid, and then try to push it back to stay, it is very difficult. It comes with an odor-reducing filter which I suppose helps but is hard for me to judge. I have not noticed any odors with the lid closed. All in all, this is a very good product that looks good and functions well. I prefer to use larger trash bags that do not stretch tight around the insert. There is a little clearance around the edge of the insert for the top of the bag to fold over and down for a neat fit. However, I initially had problems getting the edge of the bag to stay put while I lowered the insert into the can. I easily solved this by getting some larger rubber bands. I now fold the top of the bag around the top of the insert, and wrap it with a large rubber band. This holds it in place as I lower the insert. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an attractive, well made garbage can.

This is a good replacement for our previous kitchen trash can that apparently is no longer made and we could not find replacement parts for. It works well although seems very expensive for a trash bin until you look at the competitors products, most of which are over $100. The Good: Lower price than most competitors products. Performs as advertised. Seems well built. Packaged well with no dents. Easy to use. replacing the bag is easy. Inside liner is a blessing in case of leakage or a broken bag. Easy to clean interior. The Bad: The base and lid design do not work when placed flush against a wall. The way the lid is hinged it needs 3 or 4 inches clearance from the wall to flip up without hitting the wall every time and the base will slide on any smooth surface (the standard in kitchens) when you step on the pedal. The only way I can figure to prevent this banging of the lid against the wall is to put something between the wall and base of the can. For the price, I would think this would have been considered in engineering the can. The Ugly: The stainless steel lid seems to collect and show dirt and drips and finger prints a lot. I think the brushed finish somehow contributes to this and a textured black or mirror finish would work better and be easier to clean in my opinion.

The most perfect, beautiful, ideal trash can for your kitchen. I absolutely love the color too! It’s a beautiful rose gold. It’s a soft close, unlike other trashcans! Must have. I highly reccomend for functionally fits into the kitchen space, spacious depth within the bin, and easy to use with just the softest pedal step. It won’t fling open and give you that whiff of trash lol.

I like to write reviews of products after using them a few years for durability. This can has stood up to the riggers of what a trash can is used for. Ive had cans in the past where the pedal gets worn down or broken but this one seems that it will survive a good while more. The only weird this is that in order to change the bag you have to manually lift the lid instead of by the pedal otherwise the lid will not stay open. Im sure that is by design but I found it weird

I bought this product after reading some of the reviews and liking the features such as the 'stay in place' tab, where you can put a bit of your garbage bag through and prevents the bag from falling into the bin. It is an invaluable feature. I really like how wide it stays open and the soft close lid. The wideness of it is also a positive feature, in that it gives lots of room when plate scraping and litter box dumping. We have gone through a few garbage cans, that also have to be aesthetically pleasing, because we don't have a cupboard to hide it, and all of them have been sub-par. This one is not only nice to look at but it delivers and is very sturdy. I give this can 2 thumbs up and 5 stars. If you get it on sale like I did, even better!
