I never thought this would perform so well! I bought out the last of the stock from amazon for this product and almost regretted purchasing the ATA from Unifi. I am so happier with this and will try out faxing soon and will try porting my home number to the ATA phone lines and I love it! The feature sets are so AMAZING MUCH BETTER THAN ANY REGULAR PHONE PROVIDER BY A LONG SHOT! 9 Bucks a month for the service is incredible! So much features and best BANG-FOR-YOUR-BUCK Deal! Love this! for $60 was amazing! Love this to the moon and back! I highly recommend it for everyone who wants to save on their phone bills and makes total sense too!

I've had three VoIP ATAs over the last year. This is the final (hopefully) and, by far, the best. Obi100 - Great ATA but way out of date. (Used if for many years but it can't use call encryption) Grandstream HT801 - Worked at first but then became nothing but trouble and refused to work with provider. (Call encryption or not.) I saw a great deal on this and since I already own a Ubiquiti AC HD AP, and am very impressed with it, I decided to try ubiquiti's ATA offering. So far, so good. It's only locked up once in the 6 months it's been in service and that's fine by me. It lost registration to VoIP.ms but AFAIK, that could have been the provider. I have an issue with how locked down it is though. I couldn't find a way to set an IP on it. I got into the underlying OS and was able to do it but a reboot always brought it back to DHCP. I noticed that the OS is on a non-writable partition so that was the issue. There was not a way to set the IP in the flat file that Linux uses to do that. (Busybox) You can use "ip addr add" but it won't stick between reboots. I contacted their help desk and they were of little use...as always...with most companies. In the end they simply told me it was impossible and that was that. So my question is; Who owns this unit? I expect to be able to configure a piece of equipment I purchase and I let their help desk know. They will argue that they can't have us lowly consumers diddling with their OSes and making work for their help desk. I say; "What help desk?". As most, they turned out to be useless, know-nothings that aren't even familiar with their own equipment. Ubiquiti: Let me decide what I do with my equipment! Unlock the OS partition or give us a quick and easy way to do it. BTW, DHCP reservations off the Cisco router would not work, if that's what you're thinking. I think it was because it was on another network segment that I run my wireless on but I'll have to look deeper into it when I get time and inclination. AFAIK there should be a way to get a DHCP res working with this but I'm at a loss. You should also be aware that the whole purpose of this unit is to work with their own VoIP provider, Talk. That's probably where the problem lies as I am using VoIP.ms. They want Talk customers and they don't mess with the underlying OS. Maybe I should just be happy they "allowed" me to use another VoIP provider. /s Much more to say but this isn't a novel. In conclusion, it's a well built, highly reliable unit and I would recommend it. Just be careful of the "gotchas".

Unit is nice and compact. Answering machine is difficult to set up. Never did get it to work. I couldn't get a number in my area, so I ended up returning it.
