I have hand issues. For the last 13 years, I have had a Dr. Grip pen at work. I love that it is weighted, has a larger barrel, and a grip pad. It is well-balanced. I can refill it when the ink runs out, but the refills last a long time. My original Dr. Grip was slightly heavier than this one, which I got for a separate office so I wouldn’t have to keep chasing down my best pen. The clip for holding it in a pocket is plastic rather than metal. I don’t know if this is the difference in weight or not, but it’s not as comfortable as my original. I use it much less, so it works okay, but I much prefer the heft of my original. If it was in constant use like my best one, I would probably try to find a replacement like the original.

As I've gotten older, I have a challenge with the smaller pens that I used to use. Dr. Grip is the perfect solution. Very smooth writing and easy to hold and maneuver across the page. I've used these for years because they looked cool. Now I use them because they help me continue to write in a style that looks cool. Finding refills in big box stores is getting harder but Amazon always has our backs for those. Dr. Grip is a great style in the Pilot family.

I’ve been using Dr Grip Pens for many years now. I give them away for people who I feel they write a lot. Smooth writing similar the the Cross Pens. I never had any problems with ink clotting. Im glad Amazon got my order right and I also got both pen and mechanical pencil in the Flash Blue. Thank you Amazon. Pilot Dr Grip in my opinion are one of the best! Comfortable and Durable and fun to write with.

Dr. Grip is the best if you have arthritis in your hands, I always recommend this specific pen. The ink is important as well be sure to buy the gel ink refills so you can keep writing. I find the gel ink dried fast and leaves a good mark on the paper as I am left handed.

Great Pens that support the areas on my fingers that hurt so much when writing. This pen has a thick spongy silicon sleeve that covers half the pen , making it more comfortable to write with. As a sufferer of writing cramps and arthritis , I find this pen attends to my every need. Although I still get pain after writing for long periods , this pen is just so comfortable to use. I've tried several types of pen that claim to be the best for arthritis suffers , but personally, I find this one the best , by far ! I have purchased a few of these pens now as back ups or to keep in other areas of my home. Very happy with my buy and would happily recommend this pen to others. NOTE: I have bought other pens rather than refills for these pens as the refills are imported from the USA on Amazon and they are more expensive than a new pen to buy! Still trying to find refills at a reasonable price as it seems a shame that the end of life to these well structured pens are when the ink dries up or runs out !!

You can't get a better pen than a Dr Grip pen. I have a crazy horrible writers callous that has permanently disfigured my finger and my nail. The only pen that I can write with for any length of time is a Dr Grip pen. Worth every penny. My job requires me to write for at least 8 hours a day. The only thing that gets me through the day without paralyzing pain is my Dr Grip pens
