Natrol Fast Dissolve Melatonin 1 mg, Sleep Support for Adults

We call these "Sleepy Vitamins" in our home:) The kids ask for them because of how calm they feel as they prepare for bed. We use the 1 mg fast dissolve melatonin almost nightly to help our kids fall asleep gently and stay asleep through the night. They are sugar free which allows us to give them to them after they've already brushed their teech. They taste "really good" per our children, and smell like candy, so keep them in a safe place, or get the bottles that have child proof lids. The 1 mg strength is perfect for children (ours are 4,4,5,8,10 years old) but you can stack the mg if you feel that more is needed. We have used these for years because of the efficacy and ease of use. If you want your big kids to continue sleeping like babies, this is the trick! And, melatonin is a natural hormone, so I feel good giving it to my kids knowing it's supporting their own melatonin hormone production.

I really like this melatonin because the 1 mg dose is gentle but still effective. The fast-dissolve tablets melt easily and start working pretty quickly, which helps me fall asleep without feeling groggy the next day. The flavor is pleasant, and it’s super convenient to take without water. Great option if you want a light, reliable sleep aid!

I'm 40, but have been dealing with sleep problems since I was about 14. I have a sleep disorder that means I struggle...a lot...with sleep. I've done multiple sleep studies, tried numerous RX sleep aids, OTC sleep aids, OTC antihistamines, RX antihistamines, muscle relaxants, beta blockers, alcohol, CBD, using RX stimulants in the morning...working with multiple therapists...walking my clock forward, walking my clock backward, strictly maintaining my sleep schedule, using sleep deprivation to try and reset my circadian rhythms (under the guidance of a sleep doctor), using bright light therapy, restricting blue light sources after 5pm, restricting ALL light sources after 5pm, using exercise and using meditation over the last 20+ years in various combinations to try and correct this problem. Compounding the situation is the fact that I sleep walk and sleep talk somewhat frequently. Sleeping is the bane of my existence. If someone told me they could wave a magic wand and give me 10 million dollars or fix my sleep issues, I would chose sleep over money. I've tried using melatonin in the past, but the sleep doctors at the time had me taking a larger dose (about 10mg) 60-90min before lights out. They have also had me try using time release melatonin - all to no avail. In fact the larger the dose of melatonin the WORSE my sleep usually got. Back in January 2023 I started seeing a new sleep specialist. He put me on a different combination of RXs, but on top of that, he asked me to use a very SMALL dose of melatonin (0.5 to 1.0mg) roughly 5 hours before bed. Over time, we've been walking back the time I take the melatonin by 15min every 1-2 weeks. For the first time EVER, I've gone 4.5 months with just 1 sleep walking episode, no car accidents, no oversleeping...just NORMAL sleep!!! Some of this is because of his guidance, but a LOT of it is due to this product. Everything else that I'm taking (the RX sleep meds) are things I've taken with very limited success in the past. Taste wise, this is a pretty delicious chewable strawberry flavored tablet. It's a little more tart than sweet. The consistency is reasonable and fairly soft. The taste is good enough that a number of times I've been tempted to have more than one - just because they ARE that tasty and enjoyable! So you combine a product that is VERY affordable, tastes really good, has a tolerable consistency AND WORKS WELL - there literally is no downside to this melatonin supplement. My advice is just to stick to the small dose size, take it 5-6 hours before you want to be asleep and give it a few weeks of consistent use to see if it works for you, too.

These taste great and dissolve nicely--I like that they are made with xylitol instead of real sugar so I'm not too worried about getting cavities falling asleep after consuming these. Also great that it comes in 1 mg. in case you're wondering you should be careful with not overdoing it in your dosage as the average person only produces less than a milligram naturally per night. I take only one or two and fall asleep within 15 minutes in the dark. It helps me to stay asleep.

So I have always suffered from a bit of anxiety induced insomnia. As I got to my mid 40s it got worse. Trouble falling asleep, trouble staying asleep, waking up too early WIDE AWAKE, racing thoughts, restless legs. I had it all. I had tried Melatonin in the past in higher dosage but all it did for me was give me restless sleep with nightmares and/or only help me sleep until about 3 am when I would wake up wide awake. Then I read 1mg Melatonin was just as effective w/o side effects. It was a last ditch attempt for someone that did not want to have to drug myself up with OTC sleep aids every night that left me groggy the next day. I have been using this for two weeks now and WOW it is a life saver! I let one pill dissolve (tastes fine) and about 20-30 minutes later my body feels heavy, mind clears and I am ASLEEP! No trouble at all getting to sleep, no trouble staying asleep and I wake up BEFORE my alarm completely rested with ZERO grogginess! The value for the price of these pills is incredible! I will continue using these, it has saved my sanity for sure!

My family’s favorite flavor! We’ve tried several brands over the years and this seems to be the one we keep coming back to. Tastes like a mix of strawberry and cherry, dissolves quickly, and works within 30 min to 1 hour. No weird smell. Fresh and seems to be good quality. 1mg is plenty for my whole family.

I’ve taken the pills of the same dosage before this n find them to be more effective. These just don’t seem to be working for me.

Not the first time i order! But ….. this time i ordered 2 and both bottles came with crushed bills!!! Most of them are just powder!!! Really horrible! Wonder if it is shipping or this is a second grade production which is sold like this with lower price! Never again!
