Chemistry 10th Edition

When buying this textbook, the condition was listed as "Acceptable," but was in great condition. The only flaw in this condition was that the bottom of page 467 was "dog-earred" slightly. It looks brand new, and I bought it for about 1/3 the price of a new book. So, I guess this is more of a review of the seller (Goodwill of San Diego) than the product, because the product is a high quality textbook. But this seller exceeded my expectations with regards to quality.With regards to the book, the text is good. As an experienced AP teacher, this is the standard against which I compare all other AP Chemistry textbooks. This is relatively easy to read, good diagrams and examples, and great (challenging) practice questions to help students. If you're a teacher, I recommend this book. If you're a student, I recommend this book especially if your teacher/school provides a different text. This can provide the support you need in an already difficult class.

The umpteenth edition of an excellent textbook. This one, used, was/is bent some.

i know, so weird… But I LOVE this book. Easy to use and sections/exercises match up. Handed to my 10-year-old and he had no problem reading then working out exercises on his own. No idea why my older kids complain when their baby brother breezes through it…

This book was advertised as having slight water damage, but it turned out to be in much better shape than I expected!

I bought this book to refresh my knowledge of chemistry to help my daughter with her studies (high school). Zumdahl was a trusted name that I recalled from over 20 years ago. The style, at least for me, was easy to follow.

I'm very interested in chemistry on a deeper level so I had to have this book. I purchased a new one and it arrived in perfect condition, just as described. This book is not cheap but it's worth every penny! I find this textbook to be a detailed and informative book overall. It is a great reference book also.

I’m a chemist and bought this book for my child to supplement their classroom materials. The book is full of too much fluff. I suspect that the authors get pressure from the publisher to put out a new edition every so often. To do that, the authors need to make enough changes to justify a new edition. So we end up with lots of needless filler material that detracts from the substance. After all, how much does basic chemistry change from edition to edition? Would recommend looking elsewhere for a chemistry text.
