Excellent Product
Overall, the product is solidly constructed and performs well, though it comes with a few noteworthy peculiarities. The pad is significantly heavier than the average heating pad, thanks to its generous loading of mineral stones. While these stones certainly do their part in storing and distributing heat, any suggestion that they confer additional healing powers seems more appropriate for a wellness retreat brochure than for a technical product description. Unless one believes that lying on rocks channels cosmic energy, their main contribution appears to be thermal inertia and added weight. The device heats up to a commendable temperature and maintains it effectively, though the process is slow, as the heat must work its way through the dense layers. The cost was slightly above what I would typically consider appropriate for such an item, but given the materials and performance, it is not unreasonable. The remote works as intended, though its all-black design with barely legible markings is less than ideal if one plans to operate it in a dark room. It functions adequately, but a little contrast would go a long way. I would also not advise placing the pad directly on bare skin, as the surface material over the stones is quite rough and not at all forgiving. All things considered, despite the mystique surrounding its geological components, it is a worthwhile purchase.

CRPS patient reporting on most painful disease with FIR heating pad results
CRPS is considered to be the most painful disease because it consists of the slow death of a limb. I have had chronic pain and crps since 2006. Back then it was called RSD. Anyways im prescribed methadone to treat some of the pain. It does block a lot, even things not pain related. It doesn’t block all my physical pain though, infact I suffer greatly every day and this disease has high suicide rates. Im not giving up though. It was so emotional to use this heating pad for the first time. I watched them hit the market when they cost over $700 and I have waited years for the price to come down and now in the $125 range I can afford that. After turning on the pad it was very painful for me at first. The device is cold and rigid at first and it hurt a lot to tough my skin to it which is very sensitive from radiation burns from a traditional heating pad as well as heavy nerve damage. The net that secures the stones in place is not soft enough and scratches my delicate paper thin skin which hurts. Please replace the netting to something more like felt or silk. Something softer. After the pad warmed up I started to cry. This is where it got emotional for me. I have been struggling with chronic pain since 2006 and I put up a heavy shield to block myself from experiencing that pain constantly in my mind, and I have learned to never focus on my pain because then things get out of control as does my pain with my mind. So I learned discipline to control it. That all went out the window when the heating pad warmed up. After all these years I felt something I haven’t felt since before my injury in 2006, relief. Its like a massage from the inside deeply penetrating my injury in my foot I have never had pain relief in all the years I been injured since 2006. I tear up just thinking about how long I been suffering and how it can finally be over at least for now, well see how all this works out. I haven’t had relief like this ever, I been in chronic pain since 2006 so this relief js a huge deal to me because not even pain killers take away all your pain.Edited: I forgot to mention and explain the photo I've attached. This is a make it or break it situation i gather for some people who live alone and nay not have the required strength to plug the unit in from the heating pad to the units controller. When people say it’s difficult to plug in they are not just weak, it is for sure difficult. The connection is very tight and it doesn’t make a flush connection, as you can see in the attached photo I posted theres a pretty big gap of about 2-3 millimeters when it’s completely connected. Don’t keep trying to force it to be completely flush, I sprained my wrist trying, it really jd hard to connect. Im not saying its too difficult for the average person, with a bit of elbow grease you’re good to go, but you can also sprain your wrist if you're not careful, and elderly may need assistance and anyone with muscle issues will need someone to put it together for them, however the good news is, once its put together you don’t have to put it together again.See photo attached for reference

Excellent reliability!
I use this everyday. Probably on average 4 hours a day between going to sleep with it on, and lots of times using it in the mornings while sitting and workin on the computer. Its rare now-a-days in my experience to see something actually built with durability and reliability - this is one of those. After two years of use, the only thing that has worn off is the front outside perimeter covering and the same material on the back. But the Pad, stones, wires & timer continue to work great! Notice this isn't some fancy LCD controller. Just old school display and when you turn the power on/off it cluncks with some force meaning there must be some well made contactors inside the timer housing. One of those few times that I am amazed and hopeful that people will start making things again that are durable and better for the environment rather than cheap wasteful junk that doesn't last very long and goes in the landfill.

Bulky, uncomfortable, heavy, inflexible, stopped working.
I've tried a lot of heating pads to find the right one. This one seemed interesting so I thought I would see if I like the stones and notice anything from the ions! Even though it's much much more expensive than any heating pad I've tried before. The strones feel kind of neat under ones feet. However, it's just so heavy and thick and inflexible and bulky and uncomfortable! It's also hard to move around the couch area or the house because it's so heavy. I guess the cord and controls seem heavy duty like was hoping the would hold up.Plus, every fuzzy or cat hair sticks to it and it's not really washable. However, after using it just a few times in a few months (because its so much less user friendly than my other lightweight flexible pad), the controls stopped working correctly.

Gets deep down muscles.
So much more effective than a regular heating pad.
