I bought this to use as a Google Assistant speaker on my Raspberry Pi 4 with a Respeaker 2 mic HAT. I had wanted to plug in a 3.5 mm based speaker, but I didn't want it to be powered.I initially tried using some headphones with a really long cord and with the volume turned up all the way, and this kind of worked, but the raspberry pi started overheating.I tried this JST-based speaker, and the speaker is exactly what I needed. It's clear and loud enough that it can talk over me if I'm talking to someone else. The temperature readings have remained normal. Since it came with two, I have an extra speaker if I decide to get a mic array for my raspberry pi 3!Many thanks to shivasiddharth's GassistPi github project for allowing me to use my raspberry pi as a google assistant device. Only downside is that it doesn't play spotify or other DRM music, but it lets me control my smart home via voice, and that's way more than enough.

These work great ! Perfect size for our project and very clear audio.

Size and look is great. Appear to be made decent and good value. Just too quiet for sound effects in a cosplay suit.

These fit the bill for a grade-school presentation board with wires spliced into a stereo 3.5mm plug running from an MP3 player... A 16-ohm option would have been nice as it wasn't as loud as I'd liked with the low amplification, but it worked well enough without having to run it through any additional equipment. And I'm honestly impressed with the fidelity of these, for what they are.
