Soft bristles as easy on the gums. This brush has very fine bristles which are able to clean below the gumline if angled correctly. You can feel it has cleaned well. Manual brushes are only as good as your technique, but this is a capable tool. The multipack is convenient for making sure you have a new brush every 3 months.
