I crochet. A lot. And I text. Fast AND a lot. On top of it all I had an injury on my left thumb a couple of years ago and I didn’t really take care of it right away.A while later I had to wear a brace and ended up overusing my right thumb and now they both hurt.Yeey.At least they take turns.Some braces I have are great and they really help but they are also very restrictive, and hard to wear all the time.Also to feel any improvement I had to wear them for weeks.Someone suggested this one because it was recommended by their orthopedist. I was going through a flare up on BOTH thumbs and out of desperation decided to try.I bought one. For my right thumb which was hurting the most at the time.I put it in as soon as it arrived.Oh first let me tell you. It comes with an extra Velcro band and a little compression slip that pretty much covers just the area this goes on your hand. That’s great.I got size small and it fit perfectly.Right away I felt a huge difference. The it pressed against my hand gave me instant comfort and support without the pain.It’s not restricting and allows me to do stuff without the sharp pains.I used for a week and the pain got soooo much better.I ended buying for my left thumb too.I totally recommend tho.

I was very impressed when I first got these. They really helped with the pain and are not too uncomfortable to wear. They do not last though. After wearing about 45 days( and not every day) the rubber part ripped. I contacted the company without any response. They help the pain but are cheaply made.

After being diagnosed with arthritis in my thumb joint which occurred after being in great pain for a few days which occurred after 4-5 hours of chopping up smallish tree branches with a reciprocating saw, I bought 4 different thumb braces. This was the best one. Like most of them, it was uncomfortable at first, until the metal piece adjusted to theshape of my thumb. It stabilized the joint so that I could do most things that caused pain without it (except opening sealed jars.) AND it’s about 1/4 the size of the other braces. Itwas the only one that I used when gardening or doing other chores. Until it broke after 4-5 weeks. The blue stretchy part separated from the hard plastic gray part. If I get ahold of some super glue, I may try to fix it. Also, although I tested well on spatial relations in school (many many years ago), it took me some time to learn how to put this on. Be patient with yourself if it’s difficult to figure out what fingers go where and caress the metal over the thumb/ knuckle joint until it fits and you may like this brace as much as I do.

It’s a very good brace and has good support

**UPDATE: Took off another star. The left one is also coming apart now (see photo), and it was not used nearly as heavily as the right side brace. I guess you get what you pay for.I absolutely LOVED this product while it lasted. It all but eliminated the pain from my CMC arthritis and I was able to use my hand again! Unfortunately, 3 days after the return window closed, the silicone tore away from the molded plastic while I was vacuuming. It was used daily for just a few weeks and the brace is now totally useless. I don’t think I will repurchase another one. My husband encouraged me to write this review so that maybe it will help someone decide whether this product is right for them.

The blue flexible part separated from the firm gray part on the inside section. It barely lasted a month. Very dissatisified with the durability of the product. Although I did find it helpful for my issue.

This thumb brace works well for those suffering from thumb joint pain. It doesn't impede hand function for basic finger use and best of all, comes in various sizes to better fit hand.

I’ve had four of these because they are very comfortable. However, after about two weeks, the blue rubber part separates from the gray plastic part and pinches my hand. I’ve sent three of them back, but now I feel like Amazon may think I’m crazy. So I would stay away from this one - find something else.
