Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Dover Thrift Editions: Classic Novels) Paperback – May 20, 1993

There are a lot of Alice in Wonderland Kindle editions. I personally feel I have made the right choice by getting this one. It has got original nice illustrations by John Tenniel which is aesthetically significant. The price is great. This Kindle edition has got good line spacings and is excellent to read on my Kindle keyboard. Don't spend your money on other kindle editions of Alice as they have either queer or no illustrations. The only disadvantage is being difficult to navigate through chapters. It doesn't worry me though. The other good news is you will get the entire series in one download. A nice read in a rainy afternoon.

This is the perfect E-book for those of us who are looking for 'Original Versions' of our favorite fairy tales. Most important if you like illustrated fairy tales, because, remember, Lewiss Carroll was one of the first writers who thought about add some pictures in tales and books.Este es el E-Book perfecto para quienes están interesados en las 'Versiones Originales' de sus cuentos clásicos, infantiles o de hadas favoritos. I took a gamble on buying this edition when no one had reviewed it yet. I tried several other Kindle editions available and had found them truly appalling in terms of formatting. This however, is significantly better, featuring well structured chapter breaks and all the original illustrations, which enhance the story a lot.Furthermore, considering it contains both books, plus the excellent Hunting of the Snark, it is a fantastic price.However, there are still some glaring mistakes, such as some formatting bugs in a few of the poems and spelling errors in places (such as at the start of Looking Glass, where some of the Ls are replaced with 1s - I guess a scanner did the 'writing here').5 stars for the great price and superior formatting over the other options. -1 star for the glaring lack of proof reading from the publisher.

I've loved the stories if Alice since I was a child. This book contains her Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, and the Hunting of the Snark. This complete collection of her original adventures is a delight to revisit as an adult, and a wonderful read for kids as well. The price simply cannot be beaten!

As ever, Lewis Carroll entertains both children and adults.Having read the book as a child I enjoyed it but did not actually understand the meaning of the subtler bits. Now as an adult the meanings become clear so you get quite a different perspective altogether. Also having viewed different documentaries on TV, various films and other media you get a deeper look into the authors intention.Well worth rereading at any time.

Classic but hard to read

It's great to have the original complete collection. You have so many versions of the story that coming to the source is illuminating. About the illustration, you can understand a little more of the sense of absurd that Lewis Carroll wanted to show, not the sweetened versions that came after. It’s a book that you could return to a thousand times and find something that catches you again. Mapplewood work of collecting all the media versions is great for fans that want to track everything that is available. Absolutely wonderful to have it.

This is a terrific buy, not only do you get the two classic children's/adult tales written by Lewis Carroll, but you also get the Sir John Tenniel original illustrations for both of these entertaining fantasies many of us grew up with - and it pays to return to both of these works, for they are also full of inventive logical puzzles
